Too Tight Or Just Swollen?

Recommended Posts

Hello! I got a fill yesterday of 2cc, giving me a total of 4cc in a 10cc band. My docs orders are 1day liquids, 1day soft, then solids. I had my liquids yesterday just fine but could tell I was swollen. Today I fixed tuna and took a couple normal bites, and it hurt, so took a couple more very very miniscule bites, with about 2 minutes between, and it still hurt. Nothinh was stick our came back up but I am burping and hiccupping alot. So realizing that I can't do softs uet, I went and got a Protein Shake and it seems a little UN comfortable too. Am I just still swollen, or too tight? Im still waiting on call, From doc.

You sound swollen, I would try a few days of liquids before I went to get a unfill. Good luck.

Try liquids for a bit longer and when you do soft try mushy rather than flaky.

Any time you cause yourself pain you need at least a day of liquids...tuna can be tricky for me unless it is loaded with mayo...

Thank you, I, am still only doing liquids. I tried mashed sweet potatoes last night and it, still, hurt. If I still hurt tomorrow i'm going to call doc again. Is this sometimes normal?

Girl i feel the same!!! I got another cc on Monday, bringing me to 5cc ( standard size band) and my dr said no solids till the wknd, just liquids. i nibbled on a corner of a cracker and was fine- but when i tried to make it soggy in my soup-no way! Give yourself a few more days of full liquids- maybe make a smoothie with your Protein to get some calories and stuff. It will get better each day- my husband ( an er/icu nurse) says he thinks im swollen.

Good luck mama, o and btw i want to eat up that dog of yours- OMG IS HE CUTE!! My 18mth old daughter immediately pointed to him and said "doggie" lol

So....I was too tight. Did a barium swallow and you could see the itsy bitsy whole. They took .5 cc out. Hopefully that is the magic number! :)

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
