10 Lbs Down?Very Frustrated

Recommended Posts

I was banded October 27. To date I've lost 10 lbs, which was preop. I have 4cc in a 14cc band and have no restriction. Seriously hoped to be further along by this point. Feeling very down about all of it.

I felt the same way. You have to be patient. I still struggle with not being in the green zone but I feel I am getting close(6 fills/9cc in a 14cc band)

you and I were banded on the same date. I am down about 10 since surgery, I have had my second fill but couldnt tell you how much I have in there. My dr doesnt tell that info. I have heard from several people sometimes it takes bewteen 2-5 fills to get good restriction. I have some but not where I need to be. be patient it will come.

What are you eating? I was banded on 12/21 and have lost almost 20 pounds but I still don't eat much. I starting walking the treadmill for a half hour 3-4 days per week. I go for my first fill on 2/1.

Do you exercise? Im sure one or two more fills and you will get some restriction! I was banded 10/19 and have only had one fill and I am getting another on Thursday. I am definetly ready! I have found that exercising is how I am losing most of my weight. I dont eat the greatest but I do eat much smaller amouts now. I also track my calories. I find that helps a lot too

October 27, that is still just shy of 3 months?

I understand your dissapointments. I was there also, actually gained some weight within that time period.

It took me 4 months, 3 fills before I could honestly say the band began to make any significant changes.

There are people here that needed less, some never have had a fill and aare doing fine.

I happen to be one of those who needs it.

Just stay with the regieme of eating right, excercising, etc, and it will all start to fall into place eventually.

I know, when people would tell me that it would make me all the angrier, but it is true!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
