Dd I get too much of a fill?

Recommended Posts

Hey Everyone.

Ok. I got a .5cc fill on Friday for total of a little over 6cc. Before the fill I could each almost anything as long as I ate after lunch as I was snug in the mornings. But I had noticed I could eat more than I should.

The last time I had a fill it took about a week for my stomach to adjust (couldn't eat anything). This time it is slightly worse. My morning coffee creeps down (can can hear it sliding through the band. I'm thinking I should have .25cc taken out. Or, should I wait a week and see what happens?

What do you guys think?

I would wait. My surgeon has me on liquids for 4 days after a fill. 2 days are Clear Liquids, 2 days are full liquids. So, since you are probably swollen from the fill, I would wait and see, since you can feel the coffee going down!

You're too full. And trust me - you do not want to be too full. Get the entire 0.5 cc taken out. You were very likely in your green zone but you didn't realise it.

You're saying that you ate too much because you could. That's your issue and the band can't help you with that.

The band's purpose is to make it so you can eat less because you eat slower - not because you physically can't cram anything else in the pouch, feel full faster because food is passing through and sending signals to your brain that you're full faster, and feel full longer by slightly pressing on a nerve that helps control hunger.

If you were eating more than you should it's because you want to - and being too full won't stop that, you'll just revert to sliders and you will gain weight.

Get an unfill and eat healthy foods and watch what you're eating and if you're really eating because you want to - not because you need to.

This just happened to me! Got a fill Friday, i think maybe i was just inside my green zone, but i like my band tighter because i'm still having issues with eating around it (don't hate, i'm working on it).

Mine is super tight in the mornings. Takes me forever to drink down my coffee and i wont eat before noon, at the earliest. But i'm ok with it. I feel good, i'm losing weight and my energy is fine. I aim to eat a late lunch/ early dinner, then a Protein Shake in the evening to get calories in. Never thought i'd be worried about eating ENOUGH!

I'd definitely wait it out...you might be irritated or suffering a little, but you're not overeating. if it becomes an issue call your doctor. Some don't like a tight band..

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
