  1. Hey Everyone. Ok. I got a .5cc fill on Friday for total of a little over 6cc. Before the fill I could each almost anything as long as I ate after lunch as I was snug in the mornings. But I had noticed I could eat more than I should. The last time I had a fill it took about a week for my stomach to adjust (couldn't eat anything). This time it is slightly worse. My morning coffee creeps down (can can hear it sliding through the band. I'm thinking I should have .25cc taken out. Or, should I wait a week and see what happens? What do you guys think?
  2. I too had my third fill Friday. I left for the beach Saturday expecting to be able to eat some fish by Sunday. I was wrong. Anything solid hurts going down. I can eat soup and oatmeal. Can't eat anything hard even if I chew the heck out of it. I can tell it starting to get a little better today. I thought about getting a slight unfill but then told myself...this is why I did it. Greek yogurt, refried beans and protein shakes for a couple of weeks and then I will decide.
  3. Thanks so much. I will try that. I tried refried Beans tonight and could only mange about 4 bites.
  4. It hurts golng through band. But I am not waiting long enouigh between bites I think. Couild it be I am eating solid foods to soon.
  5. Hi Folks! I have a question. I had a fill Friday. Third one. I now have 5cc. I can eat yogurt fine. However, if I eat anything with consistancey I can fill it go through the band and it hurts. Does the fill take a few days to get used to? Am I too tight. Before the fill I could it anything I wanted witht he occasional PB. Is this restriction? HELP PLEASE
  6. I think there has to be something else going on. Are you watching calorie intake. It is a fact that if you use more calories than you take in you will lose weight. Try a food journal for a a few weeks and share it with your nutritionist. Good luck.
  7. You have to be eating too many calories. Lapband only help. You have to work hard to get there. Food journal is a great idea.
  8. My first fill really didn't do anything. I go for my second this week. I have heard it normally takes 3-4 to hit your sweet spot.
  9. I have red, warm to the touch circles around each incision that itch horribly. I was told that it was an allergic reaction to the skin adhesive they used.
  10. I went through the presurgery jitters. I was banded on April 19th. I get my first fill next Thursday. The first week was a little uncomfortable. Heck, I was pulling weeds in the flower beds 4 days after my surgery. I am just now starting to have an appetitie but I am able to control it. The worst part for me not being able to sleep on my port side as I am a side sleeper. But, I can do it now! Good luck.
  11. I have my first fill next Thursday! Can't wait.
  12. I cheated today too. Haven't cheated once since I started my preop diet and I was banded on April 19th. My kids made me a ice cream sundae (w/fat free frozen yogurt) although the choc. syrup canceled that out. I figure once cheat won't hurt me. Back on track tomorrow.
  13. I'm worried about getting bored too. Does your husband like Mexican? My nutritionist gave me a great recipe. Ground turkey burger topped with lowfat cheese and low sugar salsa. It's yummy.
  14. I love my Bandster family! Thanks so much for advice.
  15. OK Bandsters., I was banded the 19th of April. Have been doing great. Tonight I decided to mow the yard on the riding mower. MISTAKE. Myy band and port site are hurting and tender. I ate fine with no issues so i don't think anything slipped. What in the world? Can someone tell me why I hurt now?
