Are u ever not hungry

Recommended Posts

I noticed this morning that I had no desire to eat my Breakfast. I just was not hungry and didn't want to eat. I managed to eat a little bit though. So later lunch rolls around and I still really didn't have desire to eat. Made myself eat something. Does this ever happen to anyone else? I've been in the same tune since this morning, not hungry. I haven't had my first fill yet and don't believe I have much if any restriction. Only two weeks post. Any feedback is appreciated!

I had no desire to eat for the first month after surgery. Now, 3 years later, I don't usually have much appetite and have to force myself to eat most days.

Hi. I had my surgery on July 28th and I am very rarely hungry. You really do need to eat though because otherwise you might get shaky or whoozy. I have done that - it is not pleasant.

I had a fill during surgery so I think that has really helped with the hunger.

You are not alone... I am 3 months post op and tend to not be hungry. I have to remind myself to eat my Protein Bars and shakes. My biggest issue is drinking enough Water or beverage of any kind. I feel lucky to now "eat to live and not live to eat". I have seen both sides of that coin and I prefer the eat to live. Just keep reminding yourself to eat. Have healthy Snacks available at all times... veggies, bars, shakes, whatever... just so you don't let you blood sugar drop. Just my thoughts... good luck to you and take care.

Lisa, it took me my fifth fill to feel restriction and a reduction in hunger. I was about 7 months out by then too.

Even though the weight isn't cranking off of me like I hoped it would when I got to the green zone, hunger is not an issue finally. Good luck!

And this is a BAD thing HOW????????????? LOL Be HAPPY for it!!! It's MUCH easier to REMIND yourself to eat than to try and control your addiction to not want to stop!

I am at restriction. I have a long time between lunch and dinner about 7 hours. By the time I get dinner I am starving. More to your point I find at 4 in the afternoon I think I am hungry. It's really head hunger because I'm bored. I'm not saying that your hunger is always head hunger but head hunger is very powerful thing.

I eat at 11:30 every day...don't usually eat anything for breakfast and then eat dinner anywhere from 7:30 to 9:00. On the weekends I find I won't think much about food until 1:30-2:00

That's me, yeterday and today I look up it's 3:15 and all I had had was Water and a cofffee. NOT GOOD, if I think of I eat because I know I need to . But if I am busy with chores, it doesn't happen.

I think both ends of the spectrum are pretty common.

I've had my band for 3 weeks, and I find that some days I'm just not hungry at all, and other days, I'll get hungry at regular meal times. I remind myself to eat though, even on the not hungry days, just to keep my body fuelled.

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
