Who else has Kaiser? Tell me your experiences!!

Hello! I am new to the boards, been lurking and researching for awhile though. smile.gif I have my first appointment scheduled with my PCP at Kaiser on 9/9 for an "official height and weight". I am 5'4" and weigh 228. I have PCOS and I have been taking Metformin for 2 years for insulin resistance. I have heard it is a miracle if Kaiser covers it. Can any of you with Kaiser share your story with me? I was recently researching bariatric surgeons in my area in the case that I need to pay cash. One surgeon listed on his website under insurance excepted was Kaiser ***. I emailed his office asking how that worked but haven't heard back yet (it was just last night). Any insight would be greatly appreciated so that I know what I am up against going into my first appointment.
