Hi Everyone . I am 3 days post op and feeling so much better. I would have to say the gas is the worst part of this journey. Its definitely a changing. My question is has only heard of this all natural herbs: called "smooth Move". It really works. I was wondering if you all thought it would be OK to make some tonight so i might go in the AM? I The pain subsiding and I am grateful to that. I thought it was going to be a lot easier..but boy the Gas is really something. Would I do it over again.. Heck yes!! I will happily suffer a couple of day to get the body I want. I am down 13 pounds as of this morning. And, honest I should be I am only eating 300 - 500 calories ..I am just not hungry. Anyway.. sorry for going on and on.. Thank you all!!

I would NOT drink that tea. The gas pain is not because you need to go to the bathroom. They pump your stomach cavity with gas so they can see in there to place your band. The last thing you need right now is to get dehydrated. Drink as much Water as you can. Walk around as much as you can.

I completely agree with her! I wouldn't do it. You have NOTHING in your digestive system to poop out. I think it was two weeks before I went. But I agree with you about the gas! CRAZY amounts! I am 6 weeks out and the gas has subsided a little, but gas - x has been my new best friend. I will tell you to that my Constipation is still out of contorl. I was NEVER constipated before the surgery, but now, it is awful! I tried an herbal tea about 4 weeks out and it worked wonderful. I wouldn't make it a habit, but I would wait til you are a lot farther out from your surgery date. Would I do it again? Oh yeah! I'm with you on that one! I am down 25 lbs. It has been a great and interesting journey!

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
