Good luck and congrats on your upcoming surgery. I get banded on August 12, and I am also excited and nervous. Mostly excited now, but as the surgery date gets closer I'm probably going to get more nervous! I hope things go well for the both of us

I can't wait either...although I do not have a date for surgery yet...I'm still waiting on the insurance part of it. I'm trying to stay optimistic . Good luck...let us know how you are doing after the surgery.

I was banded on Wed the 20th and my advice is just know that you are going to probably have a really bad 48hrs and then wake up feeling much better. My surgery went fine but I had loads of nausea after for about 4hrs and then just mega soreness at the incision sites. I was able to walk around with pain in the first two days but when I woke up on Friday, I felt like myself again! Now it's Sunday and I am pretty much back to myself. Yesterday I got up from the sofa and just popped up and forgot I had surgery.

So long story short, just tell yourself its ok to have some bad days and it really does get better!!!!
