Found out Anesthetist was Out of Network

Recommended Posts

I have already done my surgery and I didn't think to check to see if the Anesthetist was in or out of network. Well of course she was the only one not in network and she cost me more than the surgeon.

Is there anything I can do because I didn't know? Should I always check before hand to see if everyone doing surgeries are in network?

I'm just looking for some help, I don't want to pay over $500 just for her, it's gonna take me a forever to pay her bill along with the rest.

When the bill comes call the biller and advise that you don't have much money and would they be willing to negotiate. Most times they will say yes.

Almost all of them are onn they chose not to participate in networks. I do not know who your insurance provider is but I carriers like blue cross blue shield will treat them like inn providers even if they are onn as long as the facility and the provider performing the surgery the procedure are in netowork. I would just call your insurance provider and ask them what there standard procedure is.

Definitely call your provider! I had the same issue and I filed a claim through my insurance company and they paid the charges.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
