HEYYYYYY:)

Day 9 and I am trying to puree tuna but still 2 heavy for me. I got the idea for ricotta and sauce and going to try that 2nite. Unfort. not a huge Beans person so all of those idea are tough for me!:(

Anything else out there? Come on ladies I just know your dying to share your fave "mushie". LOL We should all work together after we get past this stage and publish a "The Mushy Book 4 Lap-Banders"Check this book out tho; great handbook:

In all seriousness any ideas or suggestions are SOOOOO appreciated!:)

I made homemade apple sauce. Cut up over ripe apples put in a pan with a little Water cook until they are soft, turn the heat down and cook until they start to caramelize a bit. Throw in a blender. I also added cinnamon to it. Yummy! I did a lot of chicken salad well blended. Canned chicken with light mayo and dill relish in a blender. Go a bit heavy on the mayo at first to help it slide. FYI you can add unflavored Protein Powder to both.

Canned chicken, really? What brand? Sounds a tad ewwww, not judging:) :o Appreciate the recipe! :P

Just wondering if that makes it moister and that is why you choose it as opposed to a grilled piece chopped up?

Canned chicken is way moister (though it does smell like canned tuna, which is ewwww!). I got Tyson brand all-white chunk.

I made a pretty good crustless quiche by combining egg with cheese and a small scoop of artichoke dip, baked in a ramekin dish at 350 until it puffed up (I honestly can't remember how long). Chili was one of my faves (blended of course), but you said no Beans so that probably won't work for you.

I bet there are "savory souffle" recipes out there that would work.

I start Mushy foods today (banded June 8th) and I prepared to "meals" yesterday.

Canned chicken mashed up with a little non-fat greek yogurt (instead of mayo) with a few drops of franks red hot sauce for added flavor.

Very well blended shrimp (tuna like consistency) with a little non-fat greek yogurt, finely chopped scallions & a small amount of old bay seasoning.

Can't wait to finally chew something today :-)

I cried when my Dr said I could go to mushies! I had dreamed about chicken salad. I had a fill last week and am still on liquids and mushies. Today I'm doing the ham salad version of my recipe. Tomorrow I will try it with grilled chicken.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
