Hi Chuck!

What saved me and I like is scrambled eggs!!! Also good is refried Beans, cottage cheese and cooked carrots yummm! But I always go back to creamed Soups. They help get the hunger down!!

Good Luck!!

I'm on day three of mushies! Soooooo much better than liquids!

Favorites:

Mashed potatoes- I take a potato and poke it with a fork, and wrap it in a wet paper towel and throw it in the microwave

Applesauce

sugar free pudding

Bananas

Avacado

Canned chicken with olive oil mayo

Egg salad

Scrambled eggs

Tomorrow I'm going to try frozen fruit mixed with ice, milk, and protien powder in the blender.

A few other suggestions...ricotta cheese with marinara sauce and mozzarella cheese heated up in the microwave (tastes like lasagna) or retried Beans with salsa and cheese heated up. I also liked egg salad, chicken salad or tuna salad...try to make it Protein centered if you can...

I pureed ground beef with a little stock and added taco seasoning. That with some cheese melted on top and some salsa is almost like a taco. You could add avocado slices too. I still have a hard time getting eggs down, it gets stuck. Humus is good too, and greek yogurt. I still have to have a shake in the morning.

Here's a good one:

Take a large container of cottage cheese, 8oz. cool whip, can of crushed pineapple, 1 small box of Jello.

Pour the Jello in a bowel NO Water !

add the cool whip to the dry jello, and stir until blended

then add in the cottage cheese, stir until blended

add the drained crushed pineapple, blend in.

chill overnight.

OMG what a great tasting salad. It's a FLUFF.

I love Greek yogurt, hummus, goat cheese, refried Beans and cheese, olive tapanade, cream of wheat Cereal, hot chocolate milk, sf tapioca pudding, 60 calorie lime popsicles from trader joes, some times the instant mashed potatoes made with a lot of milk and I have started making my own chicken broth which is amazing with little noodles and Parmesan cheese!

Garlic Mashed Potatoes from Traders Joes. yum!

If you like sushi...go to any sushi place and ask for Spicy tuna straight. not in any roll. Most places have it pretty mushy anyway, and add a little soy sauce and you are in Mushy Heaven.

For a snack or a meal. Add some sugar free pudding to the cottage cheese. I use Pistachio, and it is really good. You taste the pudding instead, and it's not fattening at all.

So buy a couple of boxes, and experiment. It only takes about 1 -1 1/2 tsp to a 1/2 cup stir well and that's it.

Enjoy.

Shirley.

Wow, I can't wait to try the ricotta cheese recipe; sounds delish!

I also use frozen meatballs. They're great because they're already portioned out, high in Protein and still taste good when they're blended. Obviously they go great with mashed potatoes or green Beans. Oh, add gravy when you get ready to blend them.

Good luck!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
