Fiesta Nght
I like the tuna with hummus idea, I think I'll try that with chicken for lunch. I make taco meat a lot, I'm making meatballs now for dinner, can't wait!

"Stuck"
If we weren't allowed to ask things over and over , this forum would pretty much die out, there are just different variations of the same questions all the time. ask away!

May Bandsters
I have only really lost about tens pounds since the surgery. I had my first fill and they told me to call in two weeks if I'm not losing. So it's been eight days and nothing. I do finally feel some restriction, but it's weird, I can feel it with bread, can't tolerate it. But can eat an entire plate full of food that I can tolerate, like a full chicken breast, baked potato and some squash. I feel like I definitely should be losing rapidly, since I work out almost everyday, and I eat significantly less and healthier than before. I have no clue what the problem is. people keep commenting that I look good and I look like I've lost, so that's nice. I do feel a ton better too. I feel more fit and healthier, so yay for that too! I lost 26 pre op, and then the 10 within two weeks, so I have been at a total stall for at least four weeks, it's so frustrating!!!!

Setting a goal?
Does anyone else not have any clue what their goal weight would be? I was told that with lap band people lose about half of their excess weight. so for me, I started at 286, I lost 26 pre surgery. I lost 9 more since surgery, and my ideal weight is about 175 since I'm very tall, 5'11". so right now I'm thinking if I got down to 200 that would probably be my "goal" I don't know. are you all setting your goals at super low weights? is that a reasonable expectation for someone who's always been over weight and hasn't been able to keep any substantial weight loss off?

One Month Post-Surgery
Great job! I am also one month post op today. so far I'm down 36 pounds, but 26 of that was pre op. Im feeling stuck lately, at the same weight for over a week, up a couple, down a couple, its so discouraging, and I cant wait for my first fill on Tuesday!

What kind of restriction after 1st fil?
I am curious too. My first fill is next Tues, the 14th. I can't wait for some restriction. I've been trying to follow all the rules, but it takes a lot of will power, I'm ready to feel some effects from the band! If I could follow this strict of a diet without restriction I wouldn't have needed a band in the first place.

Weight loss calculation?
I lost 30 pounds pre op, so there is no way I am not counting that!

physical job questions
I have an active job, not really physical, but demanding, and my doctor suggested I take four weeks, even six! But I'm in week four now, and even though I'm glad I took it, because I want to heal properly, I honestly feel I could've gone back today, after three weeks. my doc wants me comfortable with my band before going back.

the little inhalation doohickey...
I think as long as your feeling the need to use it. If you aren't getting up and walking regularly, you need it.
