  1. How is everyone doing now that we are almost 6 months out of surgery? I am down nearly 50 lbs and have 7.4cc's in my band. Had my 4th fill today!
  2. Many people get a small fill 1-2cc's in the operating room and the surgeon fails to mention it until your first fill appointment. You might want to call your doctor to see if they put a fill in during surgery.
  3. Awesome Feeling I am sure!!!! Congrats! I can not do spanx either I feel sick to my stomach
  4. jlaroux I am noticing the very same thing! Plus tons more energy! I am over half way to my goal and it feels amazing! It also feels awesome to get rid of those fat clothes forever! I love being able to say "yep I cant wear that one anymore"! Chassy ~ I have had those hickups a few times mostly when I eat too fast! I still think I need my band a little tighter as I can eat much more than I should as this point I just chose not to!
  5. Checking in ~ How is everyone doing? Any problems? Success? What is your new favorite foods? I have now had 2 fills. I have 5.6 CC in my 11 CC Realize Band. Weight loss to date is 44 lbs.
  6. I am still waiting on that this is what I wanted feeling. I am truly satisfied for longer on less food but I could still over eat if I wanted to with no problems. I will most likely go back in 2 weeks for more fill as this one did not seem to make any difference.
  7. I am a May 2011 Realize bandster (11cc). My first fill was 6 weeks post op. Doctor wanted to try to fill it half way. She got in 4.4 cc's and I was too scared to have anymore so we stopped there. I had decent restrictions (4 hours before I was hungry and felt full after about half of a normal meal) for the first 4 weeks but the 2nd 2 weeks I was back to doing it all on my own again. I had my second fill this last Monday of 1.4 cc's and I am not tight at all. It feels exactly like it did before this last fill. I am reserving judgement because last time it took about 10 days for me to really feel the restriction. However, I can now go back for a fill every 4 weeks for small fills if I want to. If this one doesnt really do the trick I will go back in. I have lost a total of 42 lbs from pre op diet to now. I lost 13lbs in the 6 weeks between these 2 fills so I am completely happy with that. I struggle a bit not too eat too much but I would rather that then PBing.
  8. Banded May 11th and going for my first fill tomorrow as well. I am nervous too!!!
  9. Sounds like we close to the same place. I have lost a total of 12 pounds since surgery 6 weeks ago. I am not complaining as I still see a difference in my clothes. I think the protien is helping the inches come off. I can not get motivated to work out! I still have no energy at all.
  10. How is everyone doing? I have my first fill on Friday!!! YEAH!!! I need it really bad, I have been eating way to much thank goodness no wieght gain but only a 3 pound loss in 4 weeks
  11. I am 4 weeks post op and start solids on Wed as well! My first fill is scheduled for June 24th (6 weeks post op) and the Doc said I will come back again 2 weeks after that for another fill so I think she is going to take it slow. Good Luck!
  12. Wow, you are a rockstar, I wasnt up for more than 30 minutes for the first 4 days! Stupid Gas! I did not feel myself until day 9! Congrats and great job on your loss so far!
  13. I was able to go to mushies (eggs and Tuna) on Day 11, that helped alot. I do not feel restriction but I do recognize when I over eat it feels alot like when I use to eat way to much and was miserable for hours but no BPing or sliming. Mushies was defined to me as anything I could mash with fork tines so sounds like we are getting the same advice. I just cant puree my food! I do not feel like I am white knuckling it yet but I do stop myself from eating as much as my eyes want me to. Glad to hear someone else is nervous about that first fill....Frankly I am scared to death!
  14. I had Surgery May 11,2011 and wanted to get in touch with others to see how everyone is doing and feeling. I feel like I have made it past the hump of pain from surgery but now am in the I have no restriction and am trying to watch what I eat. How are others doing?
