What's your #1 food weakness?

Recommended Posts

Maybe this is a bad road for us all to go down... but is there one thing that you just can't have a bite of because you can't stop yourself once you start? Or one food you've been restricting that you miss?

For me, it's Cereal. I love it. A giant bowl of Crispix with nice cold milk... HEAVEN!

Before I got closer to goal it was anything with high carbs, especially Pasta and rice. I was known to scarf down bowls of rice pre-band.

Nowadays I truly eat everything, Pasta, rice, and Cereal included, portioned. :)

Sweets in general, but Ice Cream specifically. I've tried getting the smaller containers, or low fat, but I've gotten to the point that I'm realizing that I can't have it in the house at all or I'll devour it.

Reese's Peanut Butter Cups are my ultimate food weakness! I also used to eat several bowls of sugary kids' cereal for Breakfast pre banding.

Ice Cream... Altho. Weight Watchers Dark Choc Raspberry Ice Cream Bars @ 70 cal each are delish. Only problem, If I buy a box I will eat one every day until they are gone. I only buy them every now and then, it could be worse I guess, If I bought a carton of ice cream I'd do the same thing.

anything that is white Pasta. I use to cook alot of pasta dishes. I even cooked one last night for the family and did not eat one sigle bite. I also miss sushi rolls. I have discovered that mashed potatos and cheesecake go down quite nicely :P

Anything fried and or crunchy! Doritos and chocolate! If I could dip doritos in chocolate I'd be in heaven!

Sometimes I miss spagetti and garlic bread. When I make it for hubby and kids, sometimes I'm dumb enough to try a little, and always feel miserable and regret it right away. Pasta and bread are two of the main reasons I got to the point where I needed the band in the first place.. so it's definitely a good thing I can't eat them anymore.. but I do get nostalgic sometimes..

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
