When I was banded on June 19, 2009 my goal was to weigh 125lbs and to do it all in the 1st year. =) Silly newbie I was.

Now I am 1 year and 10 months post op and my more realistic goal is 138lbs. I hope to achieve that sometime in 2011.

I find that a lot of us think big for ourselves and then reality sets in. My questions is, who out there had a similar thing happen to them?

What was your goal before or right after surgery and what is it now?

Congrats! My original goal was 120lbs; it's now 125lbs simply because I'm already in size 2s and I'm not sure 120lbs is healthy for me, but time will tell.

My goal was to be around 160 in a year, which was a 90 pound loss. Ha. I'm 2.5 years out and weigh about 163. I'd like to get to 150 in the next couple months, by the end of the year. I'm a classic slow loser. I've consistently lost, although slowly, since surgery. I'm 5'8...so I don't know as if I'd want to get much below 150, I'm in a size 10 now, so that might put me around an 8...something I've never been in my adult life.

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
