Lap Band scheduled at IU Health (Clairian North)

Surgery scheduled for March at IU Health formerly Clarian Bariatrics.

Is there anyone that has either gone there for lap band

surgery or are planning on going there?

I have my date set for March 28, 2011 and go for pre-op testing on Monday March

14, 2011.

I hope that everything goes OK with the testing.

I have Dr. Ditslear as my surgeon. Any comments about him?

I was originally wanted the vertical sleeve but my insurance would not approve

it. I thought about the Roux-en-Y gastric bypass but decided that I would try

the lap band first.

I realize that the weight loss is not as fast but the restrictions

on food are less.

Anybody have the lap band and wish they would have done

something else?
