Memorial Day Challenge

Well the number this week is a big fat 0. I was down a lb on Friday but its back.

I was looking at the spread sheet. Ok Go Cubbies you are kickin it. Great job!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Thank you LakeGirl88. I believe everyone is doing a fantastic job. Whoever created this should be thanked, this is great motivation for us. I know it has definitely helped me stay on track. We should keep this going until July 4th.

My number was also a 0! But I am not following the rules and under a lot of stress. That is not an excuse for not following the rules! Need to get my head back in the game, get back on the bandwagon!

scale FINALLY moved this week; down almost 4! 9 more pounds to go...hopefully I can do it!

MELZIE WAY TO GO 4 LBS IN A WEEK. I NEVER LOOSE LIKE THAT. GOOD FOR YOU. I AM DOWN 1 THIS WEEK. I WAS SURPRISED CUZ MY WONDERFU DAUGHTER MADE ME MOTHERS DAY BRUNCH. IT INCLUDED BACOOOOOON. AND IT WAS SUPER GOOD. LOL

I LOST ONE POUND DURING MY PERIOD!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! So exciting.... it can be done darn it. Period weeks stink ;)

Thank you; wish I could say it was the band but I worked my behind off this week at the gym. I am unfortunately one of those people who can only lose so much weight unless they exercise. Never make it past the 15-20lb mark unless I do. I find that setting a goal helps a lot (I was aiming for 4 this week so I only have to work towards a loss of 3 for the next 3 weeks); keeps me motivated. I'm not booking my shore excursion for my trip until I hit my 225 (top weight allowed for the activity) so if I get it by Memorial Day like I wanted to then awesome but I have until July to get it together...would like to be down to 215 or lower by that point, however, so I'm shooting for the stars! Good luck to ya! :D

We definitely need to keep this going after memorial day. This has been great motivation for alot of us. I would hate to see it end.

I agree! Molly thanks again! So far I started losing again for the past few weeks. shook up my eating and exercising routines. keeping my fingers crossed that the new routines help out.

Down 3.4 this week and surpassed my goal for the challenge - so excited! HAH131 is nipping my percentage though! Gotta catch you!! Love these things! What should the next one be? 4th of July challenge? I will start setting that up now ;)

      On day 4 of the 2 week liquid pre-op diet. Surgery scheduled for June 11th.
      Soooo I am coming to a realization
      of something and I'm not sure what to do about it. For years the only thing I've enjoyed is eating. We rarely do anything or go anywhere and if we do it always includes food. Family comes over? Big family dinner! Go camping? Food! Take a short ride or trip? Food! Holiday? Food! Go out of town for a Dr appointment? Food! When we go to a new town we don't look for any attractions, we look for restaurants we haven't been to. Heck, I look forward to getting off work because that means it's almost supper time. Now that I'm drinking these pre-op shakes for breakfast, lunch, and supper I have nothing to look forward to.  And once I have surgery on June 11th it'll be more of the same shakes. Even after pureed stage, soft food stage, and finally regular food stage, it's going to be a drastic change for the rest of my life. I'm giving up the one thing that really brings me joy. Eating. How do you cope with that? What do you do to fill that void? Wow. Now I'm sad.

      Three months and four days ago... I was in Costa Rica having a life changing surgery! Yesterday we had a followup visit with Dr. Esmeral via video chat and this morning my middle number changed.  I'm down 47lbs and two pants sizes. I can wear a Large tshirt for the first time in like... 14 years! Woot!! Everything is going great. I have zero regrets. I went down to the riverwalk with a friend and walked 2 miles on Monday without even getting fatigued. And no more snoring or chugging pickle juice for crazy leg cramps! I need to go to the gym more... I'm making new shirts next week so that will motivate me. LOL But I'm also just not as TIRED all the time! I have a LONG way to go...but seeing the progress on the scales and in the mirror is a huge motivator!! Thank you all for cheering me on and supporting me!!
