Oh My Goodness...I got the job on the Cruise

Recommended Posts

The other day I posted that I was being considered for a job doing enrichment seminars on cruises.

Today I got the official word and a list of 10 cruises (all to Hawaii) that I can choose to work on.

I am literally beside myself and my DH is not home yet for me to tell....

he is going to freak....he has been through so many of my schemes and my dreams and my plans....he will not believe what I have pulled off now.

I am sooooo excited.

First off congrats on the new job. What exactly do you do seminars on?

If I didn't have kids I'd be signing up right now for a cruise line nursing job! That sounds like my dream job! Congratulations, I'm very envious!

Don't have all the details yet - but I basicaly have been hired as talent (seminar speaker) for cruises. I get to choose different dates of where I might want to cruise and I earn the cruise for two for doing the speaking seminar.

I do seminars on self esteem, learning to love yourself, appreciating the person you are. Uplifting stuff.

The name of one of my seminars is Goddess, Angel, Loving Soul..... and another one is Wouldn't you choose...Happy.

I and my hubby are very happy. I always said I wanted to retire and go on a world cruise and with this connection I can virtually go all over the world at our choosing for dirt cheap - air fare and spending money. That is too cool since we love cruising anyways.

I want the links to your poetry!!

I am particularly intrigued by the poem with the lines:

Miles may separate

but distance...

means nothing to love.

it looks like you may have a link on your signature, but it takes me to the 'Ticker' home page.

I'm so friggin jealous of you! I've been on many cruises and the one to Hawaii was my absoloute favorite, hands down! You're just going to love it. What cruise line is it? I'm planning another cruise to Hawaii on RCL, maybe we'll be on the same one!

Oh yeah, and how does one go about applying for a position like this? I'm going to grad school in the fall but for the next two summers I'll be doing nothing! I'd love to be a videographer or something like that for a cruise line.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
