Did you have anything salty? You could have retained Water. 1 pound fluctuation is normal, especially for women. Don't worry, keep up the great work!

My sugery date is scheduled for the 16th as well; I've been on my pre-op diet since the 2nd and lost 8 pounds in 3 days and then nothing.

I've decided not to change my diet and I'm not going to weigh again until my pre-op appointment schedulded for Wednesday. The first 3 days I had been walking a mile and then I stopped due to other things going on, I begin today again walking the mile. See what happens...

Though I don't have any advise for you, I do want to wish you luck. Hang in there!!!

Reg. Muscle Milk is high in calories compared to other Protein powders.

Reg Muscle Milk 250 cal 32 g protein:

http://www.drugstore.com/qxp158245/cytosport/muscle_milk_powder_vanilla_creme.htm?fromsrch=muscle+milk+powder+vanilla

Muscle Milk Light

http://www.amazon.com/Cytosport-Muscle-Light-Vanilla-powder/dp/B000OP1TS8 195 cal 25 g Protein.< /p>

Personally I think there are much better choices that offer just as much protein for A LOT less calories. Esp. If you are going to use fat free milk which does bring an extra 10 g of protein for it's 90 calories.

I use Dynatize Elite Vanilla 114 cal 24 g Protein, Gold Standard Double chocolate 120 cal 24 g protein, Premier ready to drink 160 cal 30 g of protein.

My doctor also requires whey isolate. Which is a more refined protein that your body can burn more effectively. Whey concentrates are a mixture of different types of protein. Isolates are more expensive but are better for your body.

Are you exercising? I have been doing 2 shakes, 1 bar, 2 C verggies and unlimited broth, Jello & anything 0-10 caleries. I have exercised everyday. I am day 14 pre-op and down 11 lbs & 63/4 inches. Maybe take meausurements and see if you are losing that way. You shouldn't just focus on the scale only. I am a scale addict. Good luck! I am here if you need any support! I get banded on Wed, feb 9th.

Are you exercising and drinking lots of Water based liquids? That helps. You should also take measurements as the scale is only one part. I am a scale junkie! Good luck! I get banded on Feb 9. I am here for you!

8 lbs in less than a full week is excellent. Your body will most likely need to catch up before you lose more. Don't panic, you're doing fine.

I might suggest, if you are worrying about Water retention, to watch the sodium in the Lean Cuisine meals. You'd be surprised how much salt they pack in those things.

My concern about Lean Cusine is that they tend to be high in carbs and have limited Protein. You might want to pick out the meat and weight it. You should be getting 3 oz of protein. If you're not getting enough protein add enough chicken breast to get to 3 oz. I once read on LC web site that their meals should be part of a "healthy meal". Meaning they are not ment to be a complete meal and that you should have additional veggies. So even the manufacturer does'nt consider them a real meal! That's not to say I did'nt eat them pre band. I did tend to by the larger size that they sell in a couple flavors because it was more like a real meal.

thanks all! i do drink the muscle milk like but i did buy the designer whey so I may switch over to that, um as for the salt i was on a salt over load for a couple days when i made a tillapia fillet for dinner instead of LC so now im on a no salt kick at least no extra, when I do buy the LC i tend to get the smaller ones so i can fill up on salad or veggies, i did however thanks to the forum find Walden Farms Salad Dressing, co cal, no carb, and they are actually good!!! I dont do alot of exercise do to that fact that i have bad knees and alot of back pain, HOWEVER i do like to do my Physical Therapy exercises that I got, so I guess it kind works. anyways, i did a no carb day yesterday and i think i bumped it enough, im back down to my 8.2 pound loss im gonna try an all liquids diet today and bump it even more. I definetly know that im losing inches my hubby says he sees it also, my face is thinner that dangit giant dble chin is fading away, and my seatbelt will now buckle!! im very happy!!! I will not let things frustrate me as I can see progress! We are all in a battle to kick fats a$$ Im dangit im gonna win this time!!!!!!!! thanks for all the support guys!!!!

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
