ThisMumRocks reacted to LaurenAshely in Random Question about the Girly Parts...Okay...this is kind of embarassing but I just possibly had a light bullb moment.
I have been dealing with a rather embarassing problem for my whole adult life. When I get turned on, even from just a heavy make out session I get SO wet. Like...WAY too much. I know its a normal body function, blah, blah. Im a labor nurse and well versed in sexual function and how our bodies act.
The problem is its embarassing AND has a negaive impact on my sex life. I LOVE oral sex and can get pleasure so easily they arent down there too much. However, once sex starts, I cant feel a thing because Im so dripping wet the friction is gone. And though Ive never had any complaints, I have went through a decent amount of guys who complimented my kissing and foreplay and massages to high heavens...but didnt come back for second after finally getting me in the sack. That could be because the thrill of the chase is over, but Im thinking its more likely because they couldnt FEEL anything!!!
Ive googled the problem several times only to hear how "lucky" I am and apperently there is no medication for it. I really dont want to hear how lucky I am. For dryness you can use lube. Being WAY too wet is having a negative impact big time.
BUT HERE WAS MY LIGHTBULB
With "stress incontinence" being a co-morbidity, does being excessivley wet have to do with being overweight??? Has anyone else battled this??? Or was my lightbulb for mothing? I hope its weight related although Ive never read that and believe me Ive looked this problem up a TON. If anyone HAS battled this problem, did it get better when you lost weight?
Maybe its just me with this issue...but Im desperate. Thought Id see if anyone else had this problem...

I know it's no big deal..and I know you didn't mean it in the actual way..but honestly, I study Forensic Psychology and I was actually married to a psychopath...just because someone doesn't doubt him or herself or show any type of emotion just because they are having surgery..does not even come close to meaning that someone is a sociopath.. seriously.. there is A LOT more involved in what characteristics a sociopath has... A sociopath is seriously a really really really bad person..so people might take offense that you had said that.. I know you didn't mean it in that way..and I know the word sociopath and psychopath is different to me because of what I explained..but honestly just be careful of using that word.. it's a pretty serious word and a lot of people have gone through hell having had to deal with an actual sociopath. Just saying..

ThisMumRocks reacted to PUG MAMA in UGHHH!!! Cheating! The motivation your craving needs to come from yourself. Stop looking for others to help you.
You have a problem with food, you need to address your head issue with food. Try going to a support group or read books that may help you get back on track.
Good luck,

ThisMumRocks reacted to 54Shirley in I WANT THIS USELESS LAP BAND REMOVED !!!!i AM LOOKING FOR A SURGEON TO REMOVE THIS PIECE OF JUNK ! !
I GOT ON THE PHONE TODAY WITH THE PERSON IN CHARGE "DR. HASN'T GROWN A PAIR YET !" THEY TOLD ME THE REASON FOR MY FAILURE WAS BECAUSE I KEPT EATING Cookies, AND CAKE. DENIED NICOTENE,ALCHAOL,AND CAFFEINE, AND HE DID EVERYTHING OCCORDING TO THE BOOK. SO THE BAND DID NOT BLOW IN HIS OFFICE.
SO I TOLD MY SIDE "THE TRUTH !" HE NEVER EVEN BOTHERED TO CHECK ME IF I COULD SWOLLOW BY OFFERING ME A GLASS OF WATER! HE CLAIMS HE DID, BUT I WENT HOME AND TRIED TO SWALLOW Water,AND COULDN'T, SO I WENT BAK. HE CLAIMS I ATE A BOLOGNA SANDWICH, IT GOT STUCK, SO HE TOOK THE FILL OUT???????????? ARE YOU SERIOS,,, I GET A FILL, AND I AM GOING TO GO HOME AND EAT A SANDWICH... NOT TO MENTION WHO CAN EAT BREAD? I SURE CAN'T. HE COVERED HIS A** SO BAD IT WAS PATHETIC. I KEPT TO MY JOURNAL, LET'S NOT FORGET A KEY THING THOUGH... I LOST 100LBS. BEFORE I EVEN SEEN HIM, THEN ABOT 20LBS. WITH THE BAND. I DON'T SMOKE, DON'T DRINK,AND CAFFIENE KILLS MY STOMACH, SO I DON'T USE IT. AS YOU CAN SEE, I ALWAYS SAID " GEE AT THIS RATE, I'M A CHEAP DATE" I STUCK TO MY PLAN THE BEST I COULD, AND I GOT SCREWED RIGHT UP THE A** ! SO NOW i WANT THIS OUT.
IF YOU KNOW OF SOMEONE IN NORTHERN, MICHIGAN THAT WOULD TAKE THIS OUT, PLEASE RESPOND.
THOSE OF YOU THAT I SAID PLEASE BE CAREFUL ABOUT YOUR DECESION.... AFTER ALL THE LIES THAT THEY USE TO COVER THEMSELVES, SO THAT IF THERE IS A PROBLEM, THEY ARE COVERED TO THE MAX ! ! I WOULD SAY SERIOUSLET THINK TWICE. LIKE YOU, I WOULD NEVER THINK THAT THIS WOULD HAPPEN TO ME. WELL IT DID,, AND HE COVERED HIS TRACKS, AND COULD CARE LESS. HE'S ONLY INTERESTED IN THE MONEY.

I am a new lapbander and I have read numerous posts where people are sharing their personal feelings and concerns about the lap-band procedure and I've seen the most heartless responses. How can people who share in the same weight struggle be so judgmental and cruel? I myself have received some rude responses for my posts. Don't get me wrong, I know that people will be people, you have the good the bad and the down right ugly who build themselves up by putting others down. But, honestly, I thought this site would be a little more sensitive to those with weight issues. Weight issues stem from eating disorders in many cases, and these disorders aren't going to go away over night. Sometimes people make mistakes and turn to sites like this for a little encouragement. I'm sorry, but I have had my successes and I have also failed at times. And because I know I am prone to fail, I can show a little understanding to someone in their time of need. If you have responded harshly to someone who may have been crying out for help or encouragement...shame on you. If not, thank you for your kind words. You never know how your words can hurt or help someone.

ThisMumRocks reacted to llcarlos48 in NEVER, NEVER AGAIN....I just recently, within the last week, had my band removed and at the same time, had a gastric bypass done......The two doctors that I go to, and their practice is RANKED NUMBER ONE IN THE STATE, told me that only one or two IN TEN lose the desired weight after undergoing the lapband....I had it done a year ago and would never do it again....At the outset, and even months later, it is successful, but then there was a plateau where I slowly started to crave the foods that originally put it on....I read this a lot on here and it's true....I personally know of two women who had the 'band' done, lost about 70 percent of their weight goal, then put it ALLLLLLLLLLL back on within a year....And rem. that I WOULD ALWAYS EAT MY PROTEIN FIRST, and follow the rules, but the band lost it's effect, plus I had the maximum fill.....If, according to my Dr's, only one or two in ten reach their goal, and this is based on their own practice, plus being in touch with other Dr's and studying follow-ups all over, that' s good enough for me....Caution to you, and DO NOT, in desperation, reach out for something that will not be there in the long run....But, you could be one of the 10-20 percent that is succesful....BUT I WOULD NEVER TAKE THOSE ODDS!......My best, Carlos.....YES!!---My insurance paid for both, but they required that I wait 6 months to get each procedure and follow strict guidelines.....ALL THAT GLITTERS IS NOT "GOLD!"

ThisMumRocks reacted to Swan56 in I start the PreOp diet today! So today is the day I start my preop diet. It seems pretty typical - from what I've read. I'm mentally prepared for it but since I work this jacked up shift - I had my last normal meal just before midnight. I didn't go wild - it consisted or a turkey with provolone on wheat, strawberry greek yogurt, and a banana. I will have a protien shake in a few hours and then it'll be my bedtime a few hours following that. I'm actually pretty excited. I can't believe I'm only two weeks away. Luckily I have an amazingly supportive husband who is doing most the preop diet with me. <Yes ladies, I realize how blessed I am with this!>
Just hoping I don't hit too many road blocks (and cravings). Having my big 30th birthday party this Saturday - so I'm a little nervous about that. But i have told my closest friends so they will ward off the evil doers LOL
Any advice?
