Lap-Band in the morning..... woohoo

Let me introduce myself.... My name is Shannon, I am 39 years old, I have 3 children and I am an RN. I am divorced and in a relationship that rocks... (LOL). I was diagnosed with DM type II in Sept/Oct of 2009, and immediately began changing my eating habits, consuming fewer carbs and switching to diet pepsi... I had thought about lap-band for several years but it wasnt until April of 2010 that I actually made the effort to do something about it.... So, I went through 6 months of classes and here I am. Surgery in the morning. I am not nervous at this point, which is weird I think..... I am excited and I hope that I can continue 'behaving' with my eating habits...... right now, I would really like to have one more pepsi....... but I am gonna try really hard to stop thinking about it...

Since Oct of 2009... I have lost a total of 45 pounds with diet change... but... as we have all experienced, I have gained 20 of it back......So, wish me luck and send me prayers as I will each of you!
