No regrets at all. I been banded 20 months at goal. Started at 258 and now 132. I would of be never got here on just dieting. The band isnt a quick fix but it's a great help!! I love my band most days. It helps me stay in check. All about Portion Control which i struggled with before banded. so I would do it again in a heart beat!

I was banded Oct 19, 2010 and my only regret is that I didn't do this a long time ago. Even though I have very little restriction so far, I LOVE my band.:D

Hi - No regrets other than not getting it done sooner. First band 7/26/07, slipped in 2010, 2nd band 7/20/10. So, obviously I would do it again. Started at 324 and am around 190 now. Hope to get back to 175 to 180 in 2011, but even if I don't, I still feel so much better than I did at 324.

Best wishes to you.

Sue

I think i know what u mean..

I did regret it...right after i woke up from surgery....i was lke "what the hell did i do"..why did i do this..omg this is nuts

As the day progressed...that feeling was gone...and it only came back when i had a pain that scared me...

So its weird to say but yes and no...that would be my answer....yes because i had it...and no because i had it in a moment where my mind was weaker and scared

I suffer from depression so I was a bit sensitive after the surgery. It took about a month and even though right now I'm struggling to find my sweet spot I'm really happy I did it. Part of me thinks maybe I should have even gone further and gotten the sleeve but then I think of the complications that could of happend and I think the band was the safest option for me.

I had my lapband August 27, 2010 & i have not regretted it one bit! I like the others, only wish i would've done it sooner. I started out at 279 & now am 242. So i've only lost 37 pounds. Dont get me wrong, i'm so proud of myself cuz i NEVER would have been able to do it without the Lapband! I call it my Savior! I was on a downhill spiral going really fast. I haven't been able to get off any of my meds yet but i will find out at my next appt. in January. I would love to find out how GOLDNGRLL was able to lose 100 pounds in just 6 months. I do blame myself for not doing my workouts everyday like i promised i would. January 3, 2011 will start kicking my butt into gear! I'm gonna start a hike every Tuesday with my cousin that is 3 miles. The other days i will be at the gym. I am also planning on getting a Personal Trainer. I am gonna do this & be more serious about it. I have been very serious about it but not kicking it in the butt like i said i would. My eating habits have changed drastically. I no longer eat sweets, drink soda or eat all the Snacks i used to. This last fill i got on December 15, 2010 was the one for me. I think i am at "My Sweet Spot!" If i drink even Water too fast it comes right back up. My pills are harder to put down. I can no longer eat lunch meat of any kind. No bread, no ground meat-----it won't go down. That makes me so happy! Unfortunately I no longer am working. My job was a temporary job. That kept me so busy & kept my mind off of wanting to eat. I am so extremely happy i had this surgery done. Why did it take me so long to do it? I'm actually starting to love myself again!

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
