10 to 20 years after lap Band

I am set up for a conceltation with the Doctor on Jan. 3rd. I am a little worried since I have lost one friend after lap band but she also had had her stomack stapled and undone before lap band, about 5 years between surgerys. I was wondering how the condition is for those that have been lap Band for more than 5 years.?
