My lapband is three years old and since I was banded in Mexico, I haven't had access to "proper" aftercare. I haven't had restriction in about two years. The fill doctor said I had a leak and so I just gave up. She knew this because once they filled me, it would all be gone in about a week. I started having strange pains in my stomach two weeks ago and after an ER trip, was told that I have a broken lap band tube. Thankfully I now have bariatric coverage (with a HIGH co-pay) but at least it is coverage. My new doctor prefers to do the sleeve but he will fix the band if that's what I want. Any one else have their band revised after a broken tube or have opinions for me on what to do??? Thanks!
