I use my own scale and I measure each Sunday on my rest day from exercise. I don't see my surgeon much and I like to at least know where I'm at.

My scale from home and my doctor is usually a 2-3lb change, due to having clothes on and food in my stomach.

My scale. I don't see the doctor very often and I need to know how I'm doing. Also, I always weigh in naked and at 7am. I don't want to do that in the hall at the office!

My scale - like previous posters, I don't see my surgeon every week so I go by mine. It's a 3 pound difference (clothes, etc)

I use mine because I only see my surgeon every six weeks or so--and that will drop down in frequency very soon.

My scale is really consistent--it always weighs me exactly a pound less than my doctor's does. (And that is the weight of the clothes I wear for weigh-ins at his office. Yes, I am ridiculously superstitious; I wear the same clothes for each weigh-in.)

I use the dr's, since I don't own a scale. It's been a little tough, since I went about once a month, and I didn't know how much I've lost.

I bought a balance board for the Wii, so I used that last week. I'll wait til I go to dr on Monday and then use the balance board to see the diff btwn the two, so I can estimate loss better.

I don't want to get obsessive and weigh myself constantly, so I'll do it once a week.

I think my PCP got their scale recalibrated. I weigh myself fully dressed before going there and the doctors scale used to be 1 pound less then mine. Today they were exactly the same. My surgeons scale is one pound more. I did notice one time that at the PCP they deducted 2 pounds for clothing in their notes. I don't think the surgeon does though.

Slightly off topic. I normally weigh myself in the morning in my PJ's. Since my summer PJ's are not that heavy it measures less than when I am fully dressed. Which do you carry in your head as your current weight pajamas/nude or fully dressed doctors scale reading. I only ask becuase for me it's usually several pounds more.

My scale, which I've used for years and is exactly two pounds lighter than the doc's scale.

I go by my scale. My scale and the hospitals scale were exact, but my surgeon's scale is about 2 annoying pounds more.

I also started measuring because I'm down 33 pounds and have not dropped one stinking size, but have lost inches galore. Quite annoying really.

I use the scale at one of my workplaces which is in a Dr. Office. I was using my home scale but have discovered that it is a sucky scale- at least for my purposes- it is in the ballpark but you can measure your self 30 seconds apart and come up with different numbers. (+/-.5-2lb)... Unfortunately the scale at my work was weighing me about 8 lbs higher so it appears that I haven't lost a pound recently on my ticker but I am letting it catch up. I don't use my surgeons because depending on who weighs you in some take off for clothes and some don't and its hard to keep track- although the number when I step on is usually consistent with my work scale.

I use my scale at home. Like others have said, doctor visits aren't often enough and that weight includes clothes and whatever may be in your stomach. I weigh in once or maybe twice a week- record it every sunday. I always weigh in the morning, after using the bathroom, in my underwear.

 How much twine/string/belt do you need to keep it all together? They have to be getting pretty big on you by now! LOL!

I use my scale at home. I keep a 35 pound hand weight next to the scale and weight it first before I weigh myself. I NEED to know my exact weight.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?
