US Citizen to go to UK for lap band????

Hi, all! I was listening to NPR yesterday, here in Tucson, AZ and heard about Americans going abroad for lap band. Anyone know of this having been done in London or thereabouts, and did US insurance pay for it? How do fills happen? Can they be done in the US with a physician who did NOT perform the band?:biggrin:
