Penni -

could you do just one small favor for me while you are in this state of "grace"?

Please?

eat a big, juicy, LOADED hamburger... and think of me. :D Thanks.

I second THAT emotion.

Penni, I cannot tell you how happy I am that everything seems to be fine.

I am resisting temptation to eat a big ole juicy Wendy's TRIPLE cheeseburger

Wendy's is perfectly fine with me :D

I almost suggested Wendy's, but then I started thinking of McD's double cheese burger, Burger kings whopper jr, but then my mind went into overload thinking of a Backyard Burger....

*sigh*

Thanks Penni! Any place will be fine with me (and you dont have to tell the others about this - *wink* just our little secret)

Hi Penni,

Glad to hear you and your band are in good health. I agree that an unfill once every two years probably is a good thing. I had reflux for a few weeks but knew I was having plastic surgery in August and that they would take some out. They took out all of it and I had a break for about 6 weeks with nothing in my band. I now have 2.20, which is less than I had before surgery and unlike Michelle or Alex, I do NOT have more restriction with less fill. I am starving all the time and need a fill Amazingly enough, when I thought I had something in my band during my recovery period, I was a fairly good bandster except for a hamburger I ate at Fuddruckers. It must have been a placebo effect cause i thought I still had restriction to find out I had nothing in my band.

My bet is that you will still have restriction for a while anyway until your stomach and esophagus have a chance to rest up a little and realize whats happening.

I'm in the same boat as you Penni......no fill at all. It is scary......but I find I do have quite a bit a restriction still....but that might be to the upper part of my stomach being swollen.

So glad that your preliminary report is good. We can do it though as far as controling our eating. No burgers for us......we've come too far. How about a big ol veggie burger on a bun or low carb bread with baked fries.

Gosh Penni!

So glad that you and your band are ok. Stay Strong Sister! (make that burger a single - it will be just as delicious and half as damaging...)

:]

Love that hat Rene. TOO CUTE!!!

OK went to one of my favoritestestests restaurants today. HOUSTON'S!! THEY ROCK!! They also have the bestest spinach artichoke dip. MMM MMM GOOD!! I had two chips. I swear. Then I was a good bandster and ordered their Veggie Burger with monterey Jack cheese. NO TOP OF THE BUN! I didn't even eat the bottom. I also had a slice of avocado on it. MMM GOOD!! I hate it all. I also had a couple of their shoestring fries. All in all I was a good bandster. The calories I don't even wanna think about. LOL!!

Tonight I had a medium size apple with a tablespoon of Peanut Butter, a cup of Soup, and some carrots with Light ranch dressing. That also was pretty good for me.

Now I am starving over here. Actually it is head hunger I am experiencing but man is my head screaming. LOL!!

SHUT up NO YES NO YES!!!! See what I mean!!

OK I am getting tired so I will drink a LARGE glass of good ole Water and off to beddie bye for me.

TOmorrow is another day!!

Love you guys.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

So proud of you Cat. Getting into those smaller size clothes is half the fun isn't it?. Keep up the good work!!!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞

I may have to have gall bladder surgery during my weight loss surgery. Not thrilled about it either but do not want 2 recovery times. Just want it over with.

Thanks for your post. I may need to rethink my decision... :(
