FF - drink broth - lots of it. Keep drinking it and then eat lettuce. When done, have a shake. That's how I get through lunch and dinner. The trifecta.... you can do it.

SF popsicles saved my day. I would eat 2-3 at night. It really helped me keep the brain juice! :)

Hi all.

I was going crazy yesterday (crawling up the walls), had quite a hectic day with being out all afternoon till evening. i was in the pizzastore with my kids and they ate spinach and pizza. i ate a diet vegetable Soup. that was at around 6pm. Up untill 6pm. I ate a salad and 2 Protein shakes.

But the problem was that I ate some of the spinach, which I'm sure had some fat in it(restaurants make spinach always delicious, must have all kinds of creams and stuff in there).

So therefore I didnt let myself eat anymore proteinshakes for that day, being that I "cheated" with some spinach. I didnt want to eat extra calories. So I guess in the eve I felt that I didnt eat those shakes, I was hungry. So today I'm gonna try to just stick to what I'm supposed to do, just the shakes. and some veggies. You know, 2 cups of veggies a day is NOTHING. Its so little. I feel that a person needs to chew something, thats why we have teath. I guess I just have to stay strong and do what I do. Its soon over, another 10 days(I'm on day 4 of liquid).

So as of now, 12:25pm I had a coffee and 1 horrible chocolate Protein shake. Wish me luck with the rest of my day.

Maybe one of you could help me make a phoodplan exactly what I should eat when. Maybe if I stick to a mealplan with proper eating times I will have it easier.

Thanx you all. It helps that I have this Site to go to and talk tpo all of you who are going through the same.

I wish you all lots of luck, and a very easy time with no temtations.

To make Protein Shakes more bearable I add several items. I use a personal size blender. Sample recipe: Protein Powder, 2 fat free milk ice cubes, 2 sugar free flavored water ice cubes (liquid contains splendra), tablespoon sugar/fat free pudding powder, sugar free davinci Syrup, 2/3 cup fat free milk. Blend away. Gives the shakes a nice frappe like texture. Add splendra as needed.

I have 3 days left on my 2 week pre-op - surgery is Monday...whohooo! I am on a medifast diet - all Protein based powders that magically transform into the nastiest concoctions you ever tasted. I was doing OK on everything until today. I made my "chili" for dinner, took 3 bites, gagged and threw it out. I seriously would rather starve than eat this stuff anymore!!! My saving grace is protein shakes...I really like the chocolate. It has a very smooth texture and if you only add 4 ozs. of Water instead of 8, it thickens to a pudding. I have enough of those to get me through the next 3 days. No more "scramled eggs with bacon" (seriously??), "pancakes" and "chili." I can't take them anymore!!! The Protein Bars aren't tooo bad, but they kinda gag me as well. Oh well only 3 more days. I can progress to pureed foods after the 1st 24 hours on Clear Liquids. My nut said pureed Wendy's chili is really good! I can't wait!!! Sounds like heaven at this point :( Good luck to everyone!

Good luck to you all! It's mostly mind over matter. If you try not to concentrate on it, you will be fine. Just find something to keep youself busy, it helps! Drink lots and lots of Water. After my 2 week pre-diet, I got to the hospital to find out I only lost 6 lbs! Talk about mad... I thought I would have at least lost 10-12 lbs. But, it is all worth it. Hang in there!

Today I am really hungry... I made a vegetable Soup and drank the juice... Hope that was ok...

Also went to GNC and bought variety pack of Isopure Protein juice. It is expensive, but I prefer the "juice" taste than the "shake" taste and also has 40g Protein.< /p>

Just gotta keep thinking to myself, "Remember the prize in the long run"... that helps me to get through the day.

I think I am losing my mind..... The first 5 days, I really felt in control and excited. Then I spent 2 days traveling and in hotel rooms and my rhythm fell apart..... arghghghgh.

Refocus.... the prize is so close....8 days until band.....

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!
