Pre-Op Labs came back with Low Iron and Low Vitamin D.

I was just wondering if anyone else has experienced this? I work in an office and don't do much outside, hence the low Vitamin D levels. What could be causing the low iron? I take a multi-vitamin daily and eat my share of red meat...so I am not certain why it was 38 instead of 40 (normal level), I was not on my mensus during testing either.
