Good luck to you!! You'll do fine. Getting a fill doesn't hurt..

Follow your doctor's orders after your fill. Liquids... then mushies again.. you know the drill..

I'm all done. Took about 5 minutes and not much pain (just a pinch). I definately feel restrictionnow (6CC of 10CC band). I used to be able to gulp Water, now sipping even causes some minor discomfort. Doc said this would go away in a few days. 2 days liquid diet, then back to mushies for 2 days :tongue2:.

Hi all - I'm back from my first fill also and that was easy peezy! Definitely feel tighter. Drinking Water is a challenge - I am definitely sipping slowly. I'm also on liquids for two days then mushies. He only put in 2.4 ccs. He tried to put in a little more but it was definitely way too tight - I could feel that barium sitting in my throat. yuck! So, I think I'm about at the right fill now. Hopefully the weight will start flying off! :tongue2: A girl can dream, right?!

I'm not gonna lie, I finally drank some Water and it had no problems going down. I feel like I'm starving. I had a popsicle and some broth and that kept me at bay for a few hours, but here I am again, tummy growling up a storm. Not sure what else to try, I'm def not going off the docts orders, but man, some mashed potatoes sound amazing.

I had my first fill on 6/1 and it took me 3 days to be able to handle food! I thought I was going to lose my mind! Good luck, listen to your body, and you will all be great!

I just had my first fill today. I now have 4.75cc(?) saline in my band. The fill didn't hurt at all, really. I wasn't numbed and only felt the small prick of the needle. It was weird to feel a sudden tightening once the saline went in.

Anyways, I had some gas at first when I was drinking some Water, but just had some watered down cream of chicken Soup with no problems. Not feeling very hungry at all which is a good thing.

Anyways, so far so good. Hope everything works out for everyone! :tongue2:

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
