I had surgery on Saturday, flew home Monday, went to work on Tuesday. 100% by Wednesday. Very little pain.

Maybe just a little tired on Tuesday but probably from schlepping in the airport the day before....that was a drag for sure.

4 - 5 days I started feeling good.

Its been almost 4 weeks and I have days where I just hurt more than others but over all I feel pretty good.

I went back to work in 1 week after surgery. I was feeling better with no pain... but that first day back at work drained me so fast. I had no energy until a few days into that second week! Each day will get better for you hang in there!!

Within 5 days I was pretty much normal. Just a little 'aware' of the incisions in my belly. I was more tired the first two weeks probably from the general rather than the op.

Good to know! I needed that last night was rough (i think it was gas pain). Today was great for me. Even went to the movies (almost cried because I couldn't have the popcorn (my favorite thing in the world <--kinda sad really). I even contemplated buying some, sucking on it and spitting it out (how horrible is that!?!) but i didn't, i enjoyed the movie and felt better about myself for it. Heres to a good day tomorrow too!

I was banded on 11/03/05. I had a lot of pain and could not keep awake for at least 3 days post op. Thank God for pain meds. Thanksgiving day will be 3 weeks post op and I am feeling so much better. My doc has me on full liquids, so my turkey day will wait until next year. the good part is I have already lost 22 lbs!

Jini, sorry that you are not feeling so great. I had my surgery on the 7th of this month, and I started to notice that I was feeling a slight bit better about the 7th day. Each day I feel better, but I honestly do not feel 100% yet, and I cannot wait until I do. Tomorrow will be 14 days since I've had my surgery, and I have my post-op. I think I'll ask the doc when my port scar (the big one) will stop hurting (if ever). It burns so bad like I bust the stitches or something. Take care, and I hope you feel better soon. :(

I have no clue where to upload this, so I'll put it here. This is pre-op vs the morning of my 6 month appointment! In office I weight 232, that's 88 lbs down since my highest weight, 75 lbs since my surgery weight! I can't believe this jacket fit... I am smaller now than the last time I was this size which the surgeon found really amusing. He's happy with where I am in my weight loss and estimates I'll be around 200 lbs by my 1 year anniversary! My lowest weight as an adult is 195, so that's pretty damn exciting to think I'll be near that at a year. Everything from there will be unknown territory!!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

That's brilliant! You've done amazing!! I should probably think about changing my profile picture at some point. Mine is the doll from Squid Games. Ironically the whole premise of the show is about dodging death. We've both done that...

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks
