DMHC and IMR in California

Howdy y'all

This question is for those of you in California that might know about DMHC (Department of Managed Health Care) and IMR (Independent Medical Review).

I've heard from many sources that in California you can get the DMHC to overrule the insurances' requirement for the 6 month diet by getting an IMR.

I have yet to get my psych evaluation done. I thought I would have more time (if I had done the 6 month diet). Can I file (and get approved) by a IMR with a contingent that I pass my psych eval?

Also, does anyone have a sample IMR letter that I can cheat off off? :smile2:
