Onederland I've made it!!!

Recommended Posts

This morning I hit onederland! I've been in the 200's for so long and at the highest 290!

This morning I was hesitant to get on the scale... my period had begun so I knew I'd still be around the 200 mark, but not below it! How wrong was I :smile2:

I was happy when the scale said I was 289.9!!! I about cried...

This is definatley a success for me!

My wieght hasn't come off as fast as some people, but it's perfect for me :wink2: I'm so very happy

Congratulations! That is incredible news! What a great gift for the holidays.

You mentioned that your weight loss is slow, but just perfect for you. What an important lesson. Those of us with bands usually have slow weight loss - especially if we compare ourselves to bypass patients, but we learn how to use the tool along the way, and can achieve, lasting sucess. (see my success story 3 1/2 years...). It's not about rapid weight loss, it's about achieving and maintaining a healty weight for the rest of our lives!

You go girl!

Sending holiday cheer your way.

Gloria

Congratulations on your weight loss. I had struggled to get into onderland as well for almost a year but all of a sudden the weight came off.

I had not been under 200 for over 25 years and was beginning to think I would never make it.

Congratulations! It's such a great feeling to finally be in the 100's. I cried like a baby, full sobs, when my scale showed 199 for the first time.

Keep up the good work!

I love the term Onederland!! I have been in the higher 200's for all of my late teen and adult life! I am going thru the insurance approval process now and can't wait to have the band. I am nervous about it, but also so excited! Thanks for the inspiring post!

You are not alone, you are doing it slowly, so am I. I am 14 lbs from being under 200 so can not wait to get on the scale and see 199 or less, I wish it was coming off faster but it is coming off. :smile2:

I've hit a stall 9 months out. I'm not worried, though. My fitness levels continue to improve and I have nearly accomplished my pre-surgery goal of learning to scuba dive! One dive left to complete to get my PADI card 🐠
I was able to go for a 10K/6mile hike in the mountains two days ago just for the fun of it. In the before days, I might have attempted this, but it would have taken me 7 or 8 hours to complete and I would have been exhausted and in pain for the next two days. Taking my time with breaks for snacks and water, I was finished with my wee jaunt in only 4 hours 😎 and really got to enjoy photographing some insects, fungi, and turtles.
Just for fun last week, I ran two 5Ks in two days, something I would have never done in the past! Next goal is a 10K before the end of this month.

Hi everyone, I wrote back in May about having no strength. I still get totally exhausted just walking from room to room, it’s so bad I’m using a walker with wheels of all things. I had the gastric sleeve Jan. 24th. I’m doing exactly what the programs says, except protein shakes. I have different meats and protein bars daily, including vitamins daily. I do drink my fluids as well.  I go in for IV hydration 4 days a week and feel ok just til evening.  So far as of Jan 1st I’ve dropped 76 lbs. I just want to enjoy the weight lose. Any suggestions or has anyone else gone thru this??  Doctor says just increase calorie intake, still the same.

Losing my hair in clumps and still dealing with "stomach" issues from gallbladder removal surgery. On the positive side I'm doing better about meeting protein and water goals and taking my vitamins, so yay? 🤷‍♀️
