  10. Okay so I was banded on 9-21-10 and of course for the first week the scale was moving like crazy, like ten lbs the first week. This second week my weight has been fluctuating between the same 3 lbs and I can't lose! Did anyone else go through this so recently after surgery? Any ideas for getting the scale to start moving again? Help I am starting to get discouraged!

You can do it!

  15. Wow I feel like I could have written your post. I ended up telling pretty much everyone in my office, they have all been supportive thankfully. My weight loss has slowed tons and now some days im even 2 lbs higher (im sure this is water weight but it still bugs me) People do ask a lot how much so i feel embarassed when it's not a lot!
  16. When I first started looking into the surgery my mom was very apprehensive and did not want me to do it at all. My brother was even more opposed. I dragged my mom to my seminar and all appointments and then she started coming around because she learned more about it and the FACTS that this is the best bet to lose the weight. Even my bro has come around. Now post op they are all very supportive!
  17. I work in a nursing home as a social worker. I'm on my feel a lot and was worried about going back to work. I went back on my 6th day (had surg on a tues and went back the next monday) and have done great. I think about a week is a good amount of time!:smile2:
