How often do you weigh yourself?
Hehe. I don't think it matters as much...It looks like everyone does it. and when you've lost as much weight as you have, it obviously hasn't effected you negatively.

Big goal met!
Congratulations!! When I hear things like that, I feel super motivated! Just curious, have you got a before and after picture? I love looking at those! I always try to imagine what my after picture will look like

What's for dinner tonight?
 You usually can eat a variety of different things - you just don't eat as much of it is all...But it's not like you want to eat heaps, you just feel satisfied.

What's for dinner tonight?
Ditto! Though I'd probably put it over broccoli instead. Rice and I don't mix.

Things that motivate you!
When I walk: My street is a circle that's about 1km and contains 2 very large and exhausting hills. When I get to the top of them, two families in particular say to me, "you're doing great! you're looking great!" or something along those lines. It always makes me smile when they encourage me. When I eat: When I'm buying food at the market (used to be a carboholic...Hellloooo croisants), I imagine what it's going to feel like sitting on my stomach. It's more recently that fatty foods make me feel unwell and carbs get stuck, so I just imagine how that's going to feel. and mustard. The wholegrain kind. I could put it on anything and it'd taste delicious. What about you guys?

Haven't lost an ounce...help!
Maybe try putting all of your meals and exercise logs into a fitday (or equivillant) account and see if the calories you're eating are higher than the ones you're burning. You'd be surprised...Especially on pureed food. I had no idea how much sugar was in pureed fruit that you by from the supermarket :-/ eek.

What's for dinner tonight?
Hmmm. It's 10:24a.m. here so I'm not sure yet. I try to have a salad (just 5 types of lettuce, or lettuce and cucumbers) for dinner with mustard, so I might have that and I've been able to eat mince more recently, so I might have some left over minced chicken from last night. If I'm stuck for food ideas, I usually go to: Allrecipes.com and look for ones under 200 calories. I think you do that too though, if I remember correctly  Is your family picky eaters?

Aqua Aerobics - Anything similar?
I honestly have never enjoyed exercise until I discovered aqua aerobics. I do two classes in a row. The first class works on your legs, the second on your arms. It's difficult and I love it! I wait for the days that I get to do Aqua Aerobics rather than walking. I hate walking, but because they only have Aqua Aerobics on 3 times a week at my local pool, I've gotta walk for 4 days a week. Is there anything similar to Aqua Aerobics that won't hurt my back? Prefferbly free?

Owww... to much?

How often do you exercise
Everyday :-) On Monday, Wednesday, Saturday and Sunday I do an hour of walking. On Tuesday, Thursday and Friday I do 2 hours of aqua aerobics (used to be only 1 hour, recently changed that though). So yar :-) I like aqua aerobics better than walking, but when I walk I listen to the Simpsons so I zone out and don't think about how much my body hurts going up those hills.

Fluid removal
I'm also curious about this. I've got to get some of my saline removed soon.

How often do you weigh yourself?
Hi Steph! I hear ya! I am a bit addicted to the scale too...It's bad though because my scales are pretty inaccurate. I have to add roughly 2 kilos to the result. I weigh myself after I go to the loo, after I exercise, after I eat or drink something and after I have a shower. I think it's curiosity more than an obsession...Or atleast that's my excuse

Low carb or calories?
I have the same problem. If it's put in a pressure cooker to make it softer it usually has to go with gravy...Bahhh... Have you tried canned meat? I find it easier because it's soft and you can check the calorie intake on the side. I had some delicious minced chicken Pasta (without the pasta) last night. It had a sauce with it, but I tried to drain it a little. I still have problems getting chicken down, but this seemed to be pretty easy peasy. The best thing about it was I could put it on my vegtables and it made my veggies taste great! Orrrrr if everything else fails, just take a supplement

Oh, I love fitday :-) Do you ever look at your calorie intake and outake on fitday? If one is higher than the other then you can basically expect weightloss. It's easier when you have a visual of how they balance out. I hateeee exercise. I do aqua aerobics and light walking (though it's for an hour, I still consider it to be light). I do this everyday! Aqua aerobics is sooo much fun too. I think you'd really like it. I'm 22 and I felt so embarassed to go in my swimmers, but I wear shorts and everyone else there is big like me, so I didn't feel as bad.

How often do you weigh yourself?
A friend told me that if she weighs herself everyday she gets discouraged. I do it everyday and I sort of feel like that - but in the end, I've stuck to my diet (most of the time) and am doing pretty well. So how often do you weigh yourself, and is there a reason behind it?

My Appologies Post Op People!
 I must've done it atleast 3 times or so...That's how many times I'd noticed the smilie face had moved position...But it was actually the drooly face. We should do that the new people and freak them out. We can be like: "You're looking great. Don't stress, you'll start losing weight again "
-
What am i doing wrong????????????
2-3 weeks after you start a new diet, you usually go into a plateux stage. Don't stress out, just make sure you're exercising (if you've been cleared for it) and keep doing what you're doing. Once you get some solids into you your metabolism will slowly get faster. The possible reason this could be happening is if you're on liquids or not eating reguarly, it can pass through your body and effect your metabolism. So don't freak out

sorry haven't been on way toooo depressed
I think when your food is restricted you're always going to feel a little bit depressed. Whether we realise it or not, we can all be emotional eaters to a certain extent and not even realise it. - At my psyche test I was passed as a non-emotional eater...But I am to a certain extent. After my first 2 weeks I was so horribly depressed and my band wasn't working. It's still not working. I have to do an hour of exercise a day and eat under 1000 calories, but you know what? The weight is coming off, even if it's slowly. Slowly is better anyways because it's easier to maintain. I think my band has slipped too because I never feel satisfied from eating. I could eat a family sized pizza (but I haven't, this is just an example) and still be hungry. After my first fill it was too tight and all I could eat was fruit and vegtables. I've put all of my anger, stress, frustration and unhappiness into walking everyday. I know this is going to sound cliche, but you're not alone and it will get better...It always does. Don't forget that you have a whole forum of people here who are willing to support you and cheer for you. If you need someone to talk to, PM me. I don't know how you feel, but I've been in a similar situation. If you don't feel comfortable with that I'd suggest seeing a psychologist. Feel better soon <3

sorry haven't been on way toooo depressed
I'm sorry you're feeling this way. I hope it ends soon. You could put your emotions into exercising though? You know you can lose weight without the band :-) You don't have to wait for a fill to get out there and give healthy eating and exercise a go.
