What's for dinner tonight?

I'm having the hardest time with family meals lately! My family likes a lot of casserole/one pan type stuff and that's so easy to make but it's not high in Protein.

What are you guys having tonight?

My family and friends are having Pizza Hut and breadsticks. Needless to say, I wont be eating that. I think so chicken noodle soup is in order.

I think we will be having meatloaf. I will fix some mashed potatoes for the guys and fix broccoli for myself.

i already ate my dinner for lunch. i went to Applebees and had their 500 calorie dinner steak, steamed potatoes and zuccini and broccoli what a wonderful meal it was just the right size.

We're having taco's tonight. Of course I won't be having the taco shells so instead I'll have a taco salad.

I use 98% lean ground turkey with a taco seasoning packet and I also substitute Greek yogurt for sour cream.

The meal is high in Protein (ground turkey, refried Beans w/cheese, and Greek yogurt) and I'll get my veggies from the lettuce and tomato. It's one of our favorites!

I like a mixture of both.

Grilled chicken with corn on the cob and some brown/wild rice.

I made some shrimp scampi today. I was going to make it with some whole grain Pasta but I decided to put it over brown rice instead.

I was only able to eat 2 shrimps with about 2 tbsps of brown rice before I started feeling it up in my throat.

My favorite one pot meal is Perdue shortcut chicken breast strips ( I keep these in the freezer all the time) with some fat free cream of mushroom soup and a bag of frozen mixed veggies. I simmer that all down together... of course i season it with a little seasoned salt , garlic powder and black pepper. I serve it over brown rice and sometimes sprinkle a few of those crispy fried onions on the top of it. Yummy!!!

i fixed hubby and the boys homemade chicken nuggets and mash taters. for myself i made crock pot bean and bacon soup. now i just need to portion it out and put it in the freezer for future meals.

With the lovely chilly fall weather I've been in a soup kind of mood -- chicken and rice, chili, tortilla soup, etc. To adhere to the guidelines for the band, I'll make sure to ladle about 3/4-1 cup of filling (rice, chicken, vegies) into my bowl and then ladle in the broth. I drink the broth first, then finish by eating the solid stuff. This way I'm not drinking with my meal. :cursing: With chili, I just ladle out 1 cup and eat as is.

My family eats exactly as I do and meals are usually pretty much the same - Protein fixed in a variety of ways (baked, broiled, steamed or Foreman grilled), steamed or roasted vegies and potatoes, rice, Beans or Pasta.

I only fix dessert when we have company.

Hi:

You might want to break out your crockpot and look for some good, simple recipes. Crockpot with meat and veggies and some type of sauce works very well for the band. Seems to make most meats very tender!

Pulled bbq pork sandwich (open face on whole wheat sandwich thin) with just a smidge of coleslaw. I'll also have a salad blend w/spinach and low fat basamic dressing.

I made some chicken thighs in the crockpot with apricots and curry. Served over brown rice. Yummy!

Grilled chicken marinated in lemon pepper. Probably green beans or peas and maybe some mashed potatoes (since I am feeding my husband and his cousin, and they both love potatoes).
