  1. Hey everybody! Just wanted to ask for a special prayer for all of the victims of the tornadoes in the South. I live in Southeast TN and we had 6 tornadoes in about 12 hours. The south end of my town is basically gone! We are thanking God that we had very minimal damage to our home. Please pray for everybody who is affected by these horrible storms and tornadoes!! We never have tornadoes like this.
  2. They gave me aciphex and reglan. I take the aciphex once a day with a meal, and the reglan twice a day with breakfast and dinner. The bile is from where I don't have my gallbladder, and the bile doesn't have anywhere to go. All he told me was to avoid spicy food, take my medicine and I have to wait 4 weeks to start my fills and I can't be aggressive about it. I go see my GI doctor in 3 weeks. I am start all over with my fills too. I have no fluid in my band. They originally took the fluid out to see if it would help, then they said I needed the upper GI. So they would have had to take it all out anyway for the upper GI.
  3. I had my upper GI done this morning. I have gastritis, bile acid, regular acid and my esophagus is irritated. The bile acid is from not having my gallbladder. But the other acid and all that has been caused by my band. I'm allowed to start getting my fills again in 4 weeks but I cannot be as aggressive with the fills. And I wasn't real tight to begin with. But at least I have an answer and let's hope these medicines work!
  4. I've debated replying to this thread. But here it goes... I'm almost 13 months out. I had lost 50 pounds, and had to have 1 slight unfill. Right around Christmas I started getting this horrible pain in my upper abdomen, then the pain started radiating through my back and up between my breasts. I went in for a complete unfill. When I had fluid in my band, I never knew if I was going to vomit my food up. And I was eating slow, chewing really well (basically to a mush), and eating right. But not knowing if I was going to get sick, I started eating around the band. And I will admit that. I have now gained about 15 pounds. Yes, I am devastated. And it is partially my fault for eating around the band, but I partially blame the band because I was following the rules and I was still getting sick. With a complete unfill, I can't notice too much difference. I am trying to keep my portions small. I am basically eating about 5 small small meals a day. I'm trying my hardest not to gain anymore until I figure out what is going on with me. The band doesn't work for everyone. An employee of my mom's had the band and got very very ill from the band. She now has the bypass. The band can be a curse or blessing...it all depends. I was able to still eat what I wanted, but I didn't. But at a birthday party or something like that, I would have maybe a couple bites of cake (instead of 2 pieces). Sweets and carbs are my thing so yes it has been hard. I'm not going to judge anybody because it's not my place. Plus there is a possibility that my band is causing my problems. I go to the GI doctor for an evaluation on Wednesday, and they will schedule a scope. I really hope you find a way to lose weight that will work for you!
  5. Update..... They took all of my Fluid out this morning. And when I did the barium swallow, we could see that the barium was sticking to my stomach right below my band. I am going to have to have a scope done. It's either erosion, an ulcer or gastritis.
  6. I am having the same problem!!! I haven't had an endo or upper GI yet. As my pain just started last week. But I get nauseous when I eat or drink anything. They did take out quite a bit of fluid out of my band though. The carafate isn't helping. I am debating having the band removed, but I was a self pay. So my insurance will not cover anything. Good luck!!
  7. Angela...I'm so sorry Tuffi is sick!!!!! I hope she gets better soon! I will say a prayer!!
  8. Thank you, aspen!!! I noticed last night that my pain/cramp is now more in the middle of my lower abdomen. My TOM is not due until December 11. So all I can do is wait until then! If this isn't my month, we will keep on trying!
  9. Tracy...I've been off the pill since September. My cycles have been regular since then. We used Pre Seed this time during ovulation to see if it would help us in ttc. I never cramp after ovulation and I don't have lower back problems either. Ugh! This sucks. lol
  10. Hey Deb!! It's good to hear from you!!!! Your post made it! I am bouncing back and forth between this site and the other one. I am not looking forward to DH working nights for the next 3 nights. Oh well. At least he's got a job!!!! Have a great day!!
  11. DH and I are trying to conceive, and we've only been trying for about 2 months. My cycles have been regular since I got off birth control back in September. I checked an ovulation calendar and paid attention to mucus. We used Pre Seed this month just to see if it would help. I ovulated Thursday/Friday. I am having some cramping and pain in my lower abdomen, slightly towards the right. And my lower back has been achey. In your opinion, am I looking too much into these things? I have never had cramping after ovulation like this and I don't have lower back problems. On a funny note, DH looked at me the other night and said "Do you feel any different? Maybe like you're pregnant?" LOL Please let me know what yall think!
  12. I'm registered on the other site under the same name as here. I'm waiting for approval! My brother didn't tell me that yesterday at 2:00, we were supposed to eat with dad for Thanksgiving. I was at work. Thankfully my dad understood. So Jason and I went over to his house after I got off work. My step-mom makes a to-die-for red velvet cake. She made one just for Jason because he likes it so much. So we brought 2 pieces home. I really don't need it. I'm working today. DH is gone to watch a hill climb race in Talladega, Alabama. I'm pretty sure I spelled that wrong. lol No telling when he'll be back. I felt so bad for him last night. He brought down my Christmas tree. But somewhere in the move, we lost the metal stand. And then he accidently pulled a limb out. Yes, I was disappointed, but I tried to hold it together for him because I could tell he felt so bad. But I found a new stand this morning! And I told him that where he pulled the limb out, we will stick it in the back where no one can see it. Or I will go buy little presents to stuff in between the branches to fill up the holes. So, when I get home, I will be putting the Christmas tree together, fluffing it, and letting it fall so I can decorate it! I absolutely despise fluffing the tree! I'm horrible at it. Maybe I can talk my mother-in-law into coming and helping me! haha Well, I hope you all have a great day! The weather is beautiful here in SE Tennessee! It's cold, but the sky is blue and the sun is shining!!!!!
  13. Michelle...Thanks for the encouragement!! I'm excited about the new computer. But it has XP on it because my Cash Register will work on Windows 7, but my Quickbooks won't. And I HATE Vista. lol But I have everything ready to enter into the computer. Now it's time for the computer to get here!!! I had a woman come in earlier wanting to use an American Express. But I couldn't take it. She had no cash or checks. I was going to hold them for her, but her daughter paid cash for them. That situation bugs me! Now days, most people only use a credit or debit card. Has anyone else noticed the Harrah's in Tunica advertisement? I mean, really??? A casino advertising on LBT????? Anybody else find that random and odd?
  14. I have a confession....lately, I have been emotionally eating...bad!! Well, I got on the scale this morning. Yes, I gained. I got my reality check. I did bring Thanksgiving left overs for lunch at work. So, I will be back to eating how I am supposed to! I feel like such crap for letting myself gain again!! Oh well, it's over and done with now. All I can do is move on and fix it! I went over to the other site. I didn't register yet. I will be sad to see some of yall go away! I didn't get up in the frenzy this morning. I did go to Tractor Supply and buy DH a big battery charger that he told me would be a good Christmas present. It was $100 off today! DH had to get new tires on his dually. Ugh...I hate spending that much money on 6 tires! lol Especially right here at Christmas!! Oh well, they were completely bald. He needed them. DH's work is slow. They are in between materials, so he won't be working this week. He is trying to get back on where he was a sprinkler fitter. Pray he gets on!! He made great money there! We have 4 presents left to buy! DH said he would get my tree out today so we can decorate it! All of my other decorations are up except the tree! Well, I need to get back to work. I'm getting my inventory ready to enter into my new computer whenever it gets here!
  15. Tracy....Wow, you handled that situation so well! I'm sorry you are having such issues with your sister. Hopefully one day, she can look past whatever it is that has made her upset. And for her to send it to the rest of your family, that was uncalled for. Just make the best of the holidays, and hold your head high and know what a great person you are!!
  16. Bella, Thank you so much for sharing your story!!! I have lost around 45-50 pounds. And I have had PCOS since I was 14 (I'm now 22). My husband and I have only been trying to conceive for 2 months. We actually just tried using Pre-Seed to see if it would help. Your story gives me so much hope!!! Congrats!!!!!!!
  17. Wow...this new layout is kind of hard to get used to! And this absence has made me lose track of what's up with everybody! lol Well, bad news...I have to buy a new computer. It ended up crashing Saturday morning. Ugh...oh well. DH took his rock crawler to a friend's garage so he can have some help with stuff. The garage belongs to the people who had the Halloween party. So, there's his buggy, and 3 other buggies in the garage too. He got there last night and a guy who just hangs out at the garage had written on it with a Sharpie. The guy who wrote it is in a wheel chair. He wrote "Married for Money", "Handicapped", "Big Money", and lots of other stuff. The "married for money" and "big money" is because my family does have money. Jason was furious! We had just paid $125 to have the buggy sandblasted and to have primer put on it. No one knew it had happened because the people who own the garage are related to my dad so they wouldn't have let it happen. The guy also wrote on someone else's buggy. Needless to say...Jason is on his way to the garage to work on the buggy, and no one is happy with the guy in the wheel chair. There goes $125 down the drain because we will have to pay for it to be sandblasted and have primer put on it again. The guy won't pay to have it fixed. He doesn't work (cause he can't). Some people are just so ignorant. We had a Thanksgiving dinner on Saturday. I found out that I cannot eat turkey and gravy. And I don't like ham. Looks like I will only be eating veggies for Thanksgiving. Glad we are all back!!!!!
  18. Good news!!! My computer is fixed! And my files are saved!!!!!!!! I will have it back later on today!!! WHOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!
  19. Tracy..I'm so glad Macy is feeling better!! Angela...that is tough! I think I would be upset too, but then again, when I decided to have my band put in, my husband was in total support of me. But he did say something that has stuck with me. He said "It's your body, and I cannot tell you what you can and can't do to it." It made me feel so much more comfortable with any decision I make regarding my body. All you can do is be supportive. And I know if my DH had the bypass, it would probably help me since bypass patients aren't supposed to eat sugar. lol Suzie..I'm glad your surgery went well! I hope you got back to sleep!!! Well, I'm at work with my laptop. I'm kind of dreading doing everything manually. Man, computers really spoil you. lol And I hope my customers understand! I hope yall have a great day!
  20. Breakfast: 1 cup of coffee Lunch: Lean Cuisine (since I didn't cook last night) Dinner: Seared filets cooked in brandy with some veggies I'm very stressed. It's going to be so hard not to walk down to a store next to mine that has the best chocolate in the world!! But I can do this...I can resist!!! I hope..
  21. Tracy...I hope she feels better soon!!! Well, I had one of my mom's employees come try to fix my computer. He did everything he could think of. He called the computer company that fixes their computers. He did everything he told him. All of my files are still there. I had 2 severe trojans in my operating system. My computer is headed to the computer company. They will probably have to clone all of my files, strip off my hard drive, and basically re-install everything! At least my files are there. And I pray that the computer guy doesn't lose my files!! So, we are manually figuring out how much the sales are. And I can't take credit cards because I don't have my computer. I'm hoping to get it back Monday. Hi StrangeDz!!! I'm Ashley! I'm 22, and I was banded December 2009. I've been married a year. No children yet but we are trying! I have 2 dogs- a Boxer and a Yorkie. I'm fairly new to the thread too! Everybody is so nice here!! I hope you stick around!!
  22. Angela, I'm so glad that yall loved the chili pasta skillet! I'm cooking it tonight!!! Tomorrow night, I'm cooking seared filets in brandy. I had a horrible day yesterday. It started off good. But my computer got a virus (even though I renewed my anti-virus yesterday). I'm hoping it didn't strip my hard drive. One of my mom's employees is coming to hopefully fix it. I'm praying that he can fix it!!! I do not want to lose my accounting system and cash register!!!! :blushing: Then I come home to cook dinner, mess up the dishwasher rack, which DH easily fixed. I looked at him in tears over the day. Poor DH, he sometimes doesn't know how to handle my crazy emotions with this depression. Well, I knew I would need help eating dinner since I was so stressed. So I poured myself a glass of wine. I'm enjoying getting up and cooking for DH in the mornings. I told him "Now you can tell all the guys at work that you too have a wife that gets up and cooks for you!" lol Well, I have a list of things to do today. I guess I should go start getting ready. Thankfully, my Yorkie is getting groomed today...and I am hopeful and praying my computer gets fixed!!!
  23. I used to be on Seasonique. I loved it. 4 periods a year. Then I switched to Nuvaring. It's nice too because you don't have to take a pill. I would put a reminder in my phone to tell me when to take it out. But the best advice is talk to your gyno to make sure you are on the right bc because there's so many out there! My hubby and I are now trying for a baby, so I'm not on a bc anymore. And my periods have finally come right on time by themselves!!!! whoo!!!!
  24. Good morning!!! Tracy...I'm sorry to hear that you are sad! Things will get better. You're in my prayers! Nothing exciting happening with me. DH and I went and ate Japanese food last night. I'm cooking baked chicken with a honey bbq glaze tonight. And Friday night I'm cooking seared fliets! YUMM!!!! If anybody wants the recipe, let me know. It's fabulous! DH's snoring is still causing us to sleep in separate bedrooms most the time. UGH! I got up this morning and fixed him an egg sandwich before he went to work. I figured it would be easier for me to cook him breakfast, and save the money. My mom still hasn't heard from the doctor, so we are assuming that nothing is wrong. It would have been nice if they at least called and said "Nothing is wrong." My Christmas shopping is almost done! I'm going to buy DH's last present tomorrow. I'm getting him a garage door opener kit for his Harley. The garage door will open when you flash the headlight. We only have 4 presents left to buy for family. Whoo!! And I bought the cutest wrapping paper: red and white houndstooth! Okay..I'm rambling. Sorry!! haha Have a great day!!!!
  25. I always start out my day with coffee or hot tea. The warm liquid helps loosen things up for me. If I drink the warm liquid, I can usually eat in about 30 minutes if I'm hungry.
