  1. Wow on the 100 pounds! Thanks for being so honest about the holiday eating. It is something I fear after surgery. It is good to be prepared and know that it is does take hard work to get to your goals.
  2. I am so worried about a drain too. I see my doctor again Friday and that is a top question on the list!
  3. You are going to do fine...I know it. I will be praying for you tomorrow morning. It is so great to see so many Houston peeps. We need to get a group going for sure. Hugs and no worries....just think of the new you that is waiting to come out!
  4. Does anyone know where you go to make changes to the biography section? I can't seem to figure it out. Thanks!
  5. I am so happy for you! Congrats on your sleeve and I wish you a speedy recovery. Hugs!
  6. So glad you are sleeved! That is awesome---Hope you have a speedy recovery!!!
  7. I did have my first surgery in Monterrey, but I now have insurance coverage. I thankfully found a doctor that would take me and revise my band to the sleeve- Dr. Nowzaradan in Houston, TX. I really like him and he has lots of experience with revisions.
  8. Try typing in the doctor's name your are researching on Youtube. Some of the doctors have patients with testimonies. Good luck. I hope you are able to get your revision. I know how hard it is to have a failed band. I am so ready to get rid of mine!
  9. I will be praying for you~ I know you will do great!
  10. Welcome! I have found this forum to be so supportive and informative. If you have questions, feel free to ask. Someone will give you the info you need!
  11. I was just wondering....which pain was worse? Lap-band or the revision surgery? Or were they both about the same? Also, is there lots of pain where the port was? Just a few questions I had as I count down the days until I have this ridiculous band out! Just for kicks, I would like to add that I have not had restriction for months and then today, out of nowhere, I start slimming! Really??? LOL
  12. Such a great victory and congrats on Onederland!!!
  13. Wow! I guess I need to get to the store and start buying all my vitamins. Great info here! I will be headed to Costco this weekend.
  14. So sorry! Don't give up. There are so many who have appealed and won. Hugs~
  15. Emergen-C! You can buy it at Walmart or any grocery store. It is a vitamin supplement with lots of Vitamin C that you put in water and drink. It makes you feel so much better! I am a teacher, so I take it anytime I feel a cold coming on. Hope you feel better soon! Get lots of rest~
  16. Congrats on getting a date! Also, that is great that your daughter has done so well with her band. There are several great doctors in Mexico that are excellent at revisions. I also watched a show (Nightline I think) where doctors in the US are perfoming the sleeve at affordable prices. Good luck to both of you. (I am a December sleever, too). Hugs!
  17. Hi Natalie! I can't be your mentor (unless you want imput on a failed lapband-LOL). I do live in the Houston area though! I will be sleeved December 20! We can support each other since our surgeries are so close together~ Good luck next Tuesday.
  18. So sorry...hope you have a speedy recovery...
