  1. Well I was banded on Aug.3, 2010 They did put a tiny amount in at surgery, but I sure did not feel it! I have since had two tiny fills, I certainly don't think I am at my sweet spot. I go in 4 days to get my third, and am really looking forward to it. I pray he gives me enough to last a while because I was self pay.....and with that I only get three fills for free, after that they will charge me! BOOOOO But all in all I still Love,Love,Love:wub::thumbup::wub: My band:biggrin:.
  2. MSDV so glad to hear from you, please put a sticky on this. I know I live in a most extraordinary place. Not great for man hunting, but the dogs love it! Plus there are plenty of two legged dogs in these parts, most of whom I know.....lolololo:wink:
  3. Apples, that is the first time I saw you pre-band! WOW! Kinda reminds me of me! I think of all the people here, you my friend are my best inspiration! You are really a beautiful person, and now you reflect on the outside what you are on the inside! Is not that what we are really trying to do? Love, Love ~Kelly~
  4. Jacqui, I agree! You are an inspiration! But on the other hand, being unfilled for me would terrify me too, because for the first time in my life I have a little control. I am not at my sweet spot yet, but because I'm newly banded (little over 3 months) I can still freshly remember the ravenous person I was before. Maybe for you, your mind set is so strong and good that you will have the tools in your mind to do this. Please let us know how you do!:blushing:
  5. I thought I would show everyone what I saw on my walk today! Anyone that walks or exercises Please post some pictures!:blushing:
  6. I am sooooo thankful for my band, that if I did not have it I'm sure I would be tipping the scales at 300 pounds, and be embarrassed to even go to the grocery store. I am thankful for the wonderful support of my mom and my friends! I am thankful for the scholarship I got to become a cna(certified nurses assistant) I start in January. And last but not least I am thankful for my little weiny dog who faithfully goes walking with me for 30 minutes once or twice a day!:blushing:
  7. For breakfast I had a sandwhich round with cheese tomato lettuce and 45 cal cotto lunchmeat. For a snack I had celery sticks and three dill spears, dipped in habanero mustard! Tonight I will have salad and chicken using lipton onion mix and some soup (new recipe). If I have another snack, maybe some sunflower seeds :w00t::blushing:
  8. You are only 20, you have plenty of time to meet someone special. That may not even know you were heavy, and if she does (if you tell her) she should be the kind of person that would be thrilled for your success!
  9. I am 5'8", at surgery I weighed 262, I now weight 224 I would like to weigh 140, but anywhere in between 140 and say 160 would be fine! I think really I just want to have a normal bmi!:blushing:
  10. Could you please send me some, I'm not at my sweet spot, and at this very moment I could go into that room (shhhhhhh the kitchen) and really eat something bad for me........so hell I am going to go to the bar:)maybe you could send them to me there!
  11. must be sweeeeeeet! To fill up on that, how many fills have you had, or amount in your band?(I know everyone is different, but still curious)
  12. I have had the band for over three months and I guzzle the heck out of water!
  13. I'm self pay also, I moved back in with my mom to cover my monthly payment. 400.00 a month for 3 years. That was my rent, so that it how I justified it.Could have bought a brand new car, but I would be big and fat and depressed driving around in a nice car, or I could be thin and happy driving around in a beat up truck.:wink2: I chose the thin happy and beat up truck easily over fat and miserable riding in style!
  14. Well, I told everyone I knew....And I don't regret it one bit! If they don't like it they can lump it (hahaha)! I think the more people know about this the better, maybe because of you being open about this, maybe, just maybe, someone who also is obese might just consider this option.:rolleyes2:
  15. Wow,your menopause story is facinating! I hear ya on the gym as I live out in the country and the gym is about 12 miles away, so me and my Weiny dog go for a walk (brisk) and she has to trot the whole way....lol
  16. Do you exercise? Once i commited to walking a really brisk pace everyday, sometimes twice (if I want cocktails) for 30 minutes,it really kicked in the pounds coming off.
  17. Did your ins. pay or what would it cost self-pay
  18. Did you take measurements? As much as you are working out maybe your weight is redistributing itself!
  19. I'm sure once you get a fill you will easily get back on track!
  20. Man AnnieM, What a great response, you make me want to run out and get banded all over again!:smile2:
  21. Congradulations, I can't wait to get there myself....24 pounds to go:wink:! I was trying to think of the last time I weighed under 200lbs. and I am guessing, around 1998 so almost 13 years. I hope by Jan. I will reach onederland...what a way to ring in the new year!:smile2:
  22. Apples2 can I ask how tall you are and do you exercise? You are really an inspiration!
  23. I think I understand....."what ever mountain I have to climb I will"!
