SandraDee, we all know that patience is a virtue. I know that you can do this. Remember the weight did not happen overnight and I know you can recite the rest. Stay strong and be encouraged with the success that you have accomplished. You are ALWAYS so supportive and encouraging to all of his. Okay, I got my first fill today and I was a tad bit nervous. The PA did not have any problem finding my port. She said I had more fluid in my band than she normally sees. She thought that I had a fill before now??:glare: I got .8 in my band today for a total according to her of about 5cc's. I hope that not a bad thing. Out of all of the reading that I have been doing, I thought that was a lot compared to others. I ready for the TRUE weight loss to begin!!! I hope to be posting some loss lbs here soon. God Bless. Thant was beautiful Janet...the words you wrote are very true and encouraging. We have to always thank God for the little things to appreciate the most smallest thing in life. We should definetly thank God for our struggles because if we didn't have them, we would not be where we are today. Thanks for always being positive and a inspiration to us all. Hi Everyone, I had my post op appointment today and it actually went well. I'm losing at a good rate and my first fill will be the first week in August. Dr. Marsden said I'm doing very well and I'm on the right track. He gave me the picture of "my" band and I was like wow. I'm excited for my new journey and he seems to think that I'm going to be successful. I will keep you guys posted!!

Well, it does not feel like I was in pain last Saturday this time. I was barely moving and was just feeling blah!! What a difference a week makes. I'm down a total on 12lbs since my surgery date. My total loss is 24lbs since I started the pre op diet. Yay!!! I get to try some pudding and applesauce today, I'm soooo excited. I'm kind of scared to eat anything though:eek:. I hope to be posting good news next week since I'm able to move a little more now I can begin to walk more. I really appreciate all of the support I have received here!!! I'm sorry to hear you had a hard time and had to go to the ER. The problem I'm having now is the gas. I thought I got away but I guess not. It has been full force the past couple of days. I don't have much of a appetite and I need to move my body more. It was just hard when I still had pain. Good Luck!!

Okay.. today is the day that I tried to have some broth.. I was very scared. I added a little garlic powder for flavor and it was not too bad. I really did not want it but I have not been getting in very much. I have been drinking my water, not as much as I should but doing my best. I'm going to walk more since the majority of the pain has subsided..still hurt but I can bear it more. Has any out there had trouble with even having the desire for broth, soup and liquids post op? I'm really struggling :frown:

I feel the same way. I was just banded on 7/02/10 and I have only told one of my friends. I only told my mom one day before the surgery because of the "why" questions. I had been talking about it with my sister n law and strangly she asked yesterday did I have the procedure done. I did not say yest or no but I know that I will be telling her. We are like best friends. Anywho, do what makes you feel right. Good Luck
