ouch first week post op

I got banded on 6-29-10. I hurt and had a hard time. I ever ended up at the ER because my breathing was so labored. Today is the first day I feel good. Is it just me or did anyone else have a hard time of it?

I'm sorry to hear you had a hard time and had to go to the ER. The problem I'm having now is the gas. I thought I got away but I guess not. It has been full force the past couple of days. I don't have much of a appetite and I need to move my body more. It was just hard when I still had pain. Good Luck!!

Does your shoulder kill you? Mine does off and on. It is the gas. I was out and made my daughter carry my purse. Yes, I think it is hard when you have that gas pain! Hopefully your body will absorb it quickly and it will be better. I was getting sad when someone who got banded the same day as me was at the gym with her husband and I was napping! Thanks for the kind words....best of luck on this awesome journey! GOOD NIGHT

The gas will move if you move so if you can walk even around the house the pain will go away faster. Keep moving! But NOT exercising yet it is too early. It took me about 2 weeks before I was feeling myself again. I was banded the same day 6/29/09 one year ago. I am so excited for you ;-) I have had an amazing LB journey. I am in a NEW BODY and love it. I lost 103 pounds in this one year and you will have no idea how fast this year will go by. Please take it easy and take the time to heal yourself, as my Dr. said "you are healing from the inside out". Stay positive and I am glad to hear you have a daughter she will be supportive. Take care, follow the rules and if you have any questions on your journey I maybe able to help. Best wishes imaluckydog
