i had my first fill today. it was a breeze, he had me lay down and put my hands under my head and do a partial situp. he pressed for the port and shoved the needle directly in NO PROBLEMS, just the stick of the needle. he then had me set up with the needle still in place and drink water, which was the way to gauge how much saline to put in the band. he had me drink until the water sat in my throat for 1-2 sec and if it then went down without issue then thats how much saline i received which was

hello all. i cant say its been a blast, weight wise. My start weight one week before surgery was 222.0 and this morning i weighed 199.2 which is great. but at times i did'nt lose anything. the scale would not move, nothing. this went on for about 8 days. i keep trying to be positive, thinking it has to move soon. so be patient, not worry sooner or later the scale will comply. i will be having my first fill on monday and i can't wait! restriction again at last ( i hope). no matter what folks hang

it's been 3 weeks since my band. it's been easy so far. i follow the dr's instructions and do as i'm told. i started mushy foods yesterday and i stayed fuller longer about 5hours. as of todays date i lost 20lbs (this is just since my band).   i try and walk 3 miles a day. my goal now is to get all my water in ( very hard). I will post next week. i hope you all are doing well.
Today is week one. And boy was it easy, no pain, no gas, no problems thus far.   I had my post op yesterday and i lost 13lbs in 6 days (my surgery weight was 222 and yesterday it was 209).   I woke up this morning with my monthly friend so i expect maybe 2-3 lbs this week. Or am i dreaming...lets dream.   If anyone is worried about staying with the protein diet, don't. If you take in enough protein and stay busy you will be successful. I will keep you guys posted. i had my lap band on tuesday 8/10th i went in at 5:30am, they processed me and by 7am i was in the surgery unit. i was the first surgery of the morning and boy everyone from start to finish was just great! i went under at 7:30am and in post op by 10:30am. the surgery took only about 45min. hardly no pain at all. i took the first injection for pain but after that i did not require any additional medication for pain. i was home by 12:15p. slept most of the day still no real pain, just soreness. it
