had my band done yesterday

I am not in pain, but I feel uncomfortable like someone punch me in my stomach. I did take my pain pill just in case so I wouldn't be in pain the next morning. Im up now because I was drowsy earlier and went to sleep early so i'm up now. My incision by my navel was bleeding last night on my pillow and I had to wash my decor pillow really good, so I have extra bandages and I place it ontop so it wouldn't leak through my shirt again. My doctor told me to wait till late tomorrow evening to remove bandages and put peroxide on them. I been drinking EAS advantage chocolate protein shake it is delicious and I don't have a problem with it, I also have the Vanilla flavor haven't taste that yet though. I had sugar free jello and pudding, and Campbells chicken noodle soup without the chicken and noodles, i just drained it with the strainer and threw it away.

My doc told me to make sure I walk, so I did walk for 15 min yesterday.

Well thats my update.

Congratulations on being banded.. But why are you taking pills? You should have received liquid pain meds and if not prescription then liquid tylenol. It's very important to not put solids in right now as they can get stuck or add to your swelling and slow your healing process.

The bleeding is worrisome, were you sleeping on your stomach? Did you look at your incisions? Did you bust some stitches? Glad you're not in pain...here's to a rapid recovery!

God Bless you as your body heals and your spirits improve after the surgery! You will begin to adjust and grow use to the idea you are now banded! When the weight starts to come off, you will be so happy that this was your choice, I am one year out and down 91 lbs. It really changes your life for the better.

You are now a Bandster-Sister! Welcome to our club. We are glad to have you.

Don't worry about the pain meds because by tomorrow, you will probably not need them. I wonder why the doctor didn't give you liquid - odd. Did you have stitches - is that what was bleeding? My doctor used some kind of glue, so I never bled. If you are watching TV, everytime a commercial comes on, get up and walk. Drink plenty of liquids and get as much rest as you can. Walking is the best thing you can do for yourself.

Let us know how you are doing.
