  1. It might be from exercising more....seems to me that the more I walk, when i get home i can't eat. And depending what time of the month it is....I eat more week before my monthly friend comes...lol And I am a lot tighter during my period. But i dont think your band would get tighter when you lose...thats why I am thinking maybe from exercise increase!!
  2. Thanks for information. I have already talked to my primary care physician and he is completely backing me up on my decision. They have informed me that whatever I need when I get back that they are there to help me.
  3. OMG...Oh yes!! I am so happy to finally meet someone else that will be there A friend of mine that I met on facebook was trying to get an appt for the 25th or 26th, but they have no openings. That would be wonderful to meet you...what are you getting done?? My lbl is scheduled for the 21st @ 7:30 am. How long are you planning to stay?? You staying in the recovery house?? I am super happy to know someone else will be there...as I am going to Mexico alone
  4. I only cook dinner maybe if the family is lucky 2 or 3 times a week. By the time I get home from work it is almost 5pm...then I hit the computer and about 3 or 4 days a week I walk at 6pm...4 miles. When I get home, it is almost 7:30...I'm usually not hungry, but on days like that I drink a Protein shake 30 grams...and only 160 calories and I call it good!! I agree...who says you have to eat dinner!! NOT ME...
  5. I maintained my weight loss for 6 months and I went in last month and got a slight fill .5cc I think I have found my "sweet spot"...it took me almost 2 years to find it...lol I have lost 8 pounds this past month. I have 12 more to go before my goal of 160!! I would try a fill....
  6. Does not include recovery boutique...If you stay there over 10 days, it is $100/day. There were a couple other charges too...not too much though. I will keep you posted for sure
  7. I did a lot of research. And I know that there are bad and good reviews on just about any doctor. I have some facebook friends that have used Dr Quiroz. And I feel very confident with my choice. My surgery is June 21, as I am also having inner thigh lift and liposuction along with LBL. I will be staying in their recovery boutique for 15 days, with full time 24 hour nurse, and meals included.
  8. I am going to Mexico in June. Cosmed clinic with Dr Quiroz. He is licensed in California also He charging me $4,000 for lower body lift!! Good luck
  9. Gas X works wonders for shoulder pain too!! and yes, lots of walking. It will get better everyday....it is from the gas that they use for laproscopic.
  10. Why would you want to do this journey without a fill?? If you are worried about it hurting, don't be. Not painful at all...You will eventually need fills and it sounds to me, You need one now!! You should not be able to eat that much food at one time. Go get yourself a fill...
  11. You are okay....I was on clear liquids for first 7 days or so. If you are really concerned or feeling week try Isopure protein drinks (it is considered clear liquid) one bottle has 40g of protein and 160 calories. You can purchase them at a GNC. I wouldn't worry too much about your calorie intake since you just had your surgery....good luck
  12. Definitely keep us posted...you only have about 2 weeks more!! I am scared too...but I am more excited than anything. I can't wait. You will be fine!! I hear that LBL is really not that bad, pain wise! So, we shall see....Just make sure you follow your surgeons instructions, and make others wait on you. Get lots of rest and take it easy!! That will best for your recovery. Good luck to you and please take before and after pics....I am scheduled for June 21 along with inner thigh lift and lipo on thighs...
  13. It is either gas still or you are drinking too much too fast. I used a medicine cup, 1 oz cup and I drank out of that for first week...little sips. When you eat too much or a large bite, that is exactly what being stuck feels like...pressure in your chest. You can try gas x to see if its the gas...but otherwise take smaller drinks and/or bites...and chew chew chew!! Hope this helps you all!
  14. I didn't eat much for all three meals today...got stuck every meal!! I think I just ate 2 bites too many...so, found myself eating slider foods today. I am going to get back on track tomorrow...You did good Mariah....I eat sugar free pudding as a liquid
  15. I admit...I have never been a secret eater. But Cheri, you shouldn't be so hard on yourself...it was only 100 calories, yes...maybe weird that you ate it at 2:30 in the morning. But if you only did liquids yesterday...then a small bag of popcorn isn't bad!! I ate a cookie for breakfast...lol My band was extremely tight this morning....had a hard time drinking a protein shake. Which I don't even know why I drank if first thing in the morning...as, I am tight every morning and always drink coffee first!! So, I am hoping this means my fill is going to help me with the last 20lbs!! Take it easy Cheri....we CAN do this!! have a good weekend....and Happy Friday
  16. Better late than never!! Good luck Jake!!
  17. Premier are my favorite....my mother just brought me a case!! Looks like a shake for breakfast for me tomorrow
  18. Good luck Mariah....we just started today!! Counting you in
  19. Well, since I had my last and final fill yesterday....I had no choice but to start food steps over again...did liquids since 1pm yesterday...had diarrhea to go along with it!! So, I am totally all cleaned out. lol Did mostly liquids today. Added soup cream of mushroom soup and can of chicken noodle soup...my bowels have been busy making noises all day!! No exercise for me. I need to drink one more protein shake and I will be good for today. Yesterday morning 180...this morning 177....17 more to go
  20. My surgeon makes me do a crunch. No leg lift! Usually he uses fluroscopy (xray) for his fills. But my port is visibly seen and you can feel it. So this fill was done in his office. Just make sure your doctor has you drink water after your fill. Being able to get your fluids down is important. My last fill was so tight, it hurt drinking fluids. My first fill was 4 cc's. Tell doctor you want a good fill

  22. We can do this!!!
  23. LOL...I have seen the needle too and didn't know what to expect...haha Nope it does NOT hurt!! I even helped my surgeon with my fill today, I had to hold the saline bottle while he injected the needle into bottle...hahaha! And trust me, I am petrified of needles.
  24. I would love to join you. I am almost 2 years post op and have 20 lbs more to lose. I just got my last fill today!! and I am having plastic surgery to end my journey....that is in June!! I would love to get last 20 off before June...count me in
  25. I am all for Mexico....there are alot of wonderful doctors there. Just do your research. I have a group of girls on facebook that go to Clinica Jerusalem in Tijuana. I am going to Mexico for plastic surgery in June. I believe the clinic I am attending also does lapband. It is called cosmed clinic. Google them and do research...I was going to originally go to Mexico for my band...then finances happened and it was put off. Then I got insurance that covered it...but my surgeon from Oregon was trained in Tijuana. Also, Mexico has been doing the band alot longer than the U.S. good luck to you...
