  1. I have amazing results from my plastic surgery. I went to Mexico weighing in at 171, I am now down to 157 I am so happy with my results. I knew exercising was not going to fix my skin. Let me see if I can post a pic for you....Total weight loss, now 133 lbs gone!! Over 2 yrs post op and still losing
  2. Oh my gosh Karen....I am getting super excited for you and cannot wait to see pics of your final results Did you take before pics yet?? Don't forget to do that!! I am glad you got a tour and met doctor before hand....everyone there is sooooo friendly! Isn't there building beautiful?? And Doctor is beautiful too lol I am glad you chose Dr Q for your final procedures....and yes, very affordable!! (this the last of your plastics??)
  3. Yes I did....I went to Dr Quiroz from cosmed clinic. I believe he is the only doctor in Mexico that is also licensed in the US! One of the reasons I chose him
  4. I wish you much luck on your procedure. Lots and lots of rest....and lots of pillows Just be careful not to move around too much and pop out any stitches....are you going straight home after surgery? Make sure someone is there to help you out of bed, it helps. Also try and keep legs elevated...your incision under your butt cheek will be the worse, mine was very swollen and uncomfortable. Just remember....it is only about 14 days of discomfort!! Day 10 my stitches were so tight, I was crying...surgeon removed half of them and that was soooo much better. Keep in touch with your doctor for any concerns that arise. A lot of people have problems with this surgery....I had no complications just lots of discomfort...guess I was lucky. Good luck to you...and keep me updated throughout the next 2 weeks, I will be here if you should have any questions
  5. I was charged $2500 for thighs and $4000 for lower body lift....but I think all estimates vary, depending on what else you are getting done. I did a virtual consult with them; sent in my pics and surgeon calls you personally and talks to you and answers all questions that you have.
  6. I had almost complete numbness around incision for lower body lift...I never had any pain from it...It was the inner thigh lift that I had difficulty with...incisions got really tight at one point, about day 10 and surgeon removed some stitches for me...which helped alot! But lots of discomfort from thighs...As long as you have drains in NO shower...as, water and soap can get into the drain hole...I had a nurse saran wrap my drains and she showered me at about day 6. I am having some healing feelings now....sharp burning pain that hopefully goes away soon!
  7. I just wanted to give you all an updated photo of my inner thigh lift and lower body lift....I am 4 weeks post op and I am loving my results so far!! Just thought I would share......
  8. I would start out with inner thigh lift....I am 4 weeks post op from inner thigh lift and have amazing results...although my knees are still a bit large....usually inner thigh lift is done first and then if you still need work done, it would be thigh lift from knee to groin incision....
  9. I am currently in recovery at this moment from lower body lift and inner thigh lift. My surgery was June 21, I am in Mexico, as I would have never been able to afford any plastic surgery in the US. I chose the lbl over tt because I could see my butt hanging in between my legs...so, with lbl it includes tummy tuck, outer thigh lift and butt lift. Doctor said he took off about 8 inches all the way around...and lifted my inner thighs 5 inches. stitiches under my butt cheeks are the only ones that are sore...other than that so far not so bad~
  10. Hi Jill, Just wondering how everything went?? As, I have my LBL on Thursday the 21st!!
  11. Heck ya....get rid of it!!
  12. You look amazing Karen....I know I already told you that...lol Ouch your cost was spendy...but looks so worth it!! What you paid for TT...is same price for my LBL, lipo and inner thigh lift with Dr Q. When will you be going to Cosmed??
  13. Good luck to you...keep us posted too! I am also excited and nervous!! 12 more days!
  14. I am curious...what sort of things did your doctor give you? I am having my LBL on the 21st June
  15. Karen...how much skin in pounds did your surgeon take off??
  16. I have quite a few friends I met on facebook that have used Dr Q...I have not met him yet, but I have talked to him on the phone. I will be having lower body lift, liposuction on thighs and lower back and inner thigh lift all at once! I will for sure keep you all posted...I hope my tummy looks as good as yours
  17. WOW....Your tummy looks great!! I am super excited about LBL...I have 15 more days until I fly to Mexico!! What all is Dr Quiroz doing to you?? Gosh...I still can't get over you tummy...it just looks amazing!!
  18. I am glad you are finally healing well!! Why did you gain so much weight after plastic surgery?? That is my biggest fear, as I am having lower body lift and inner thigh lift on June 21.
  19. I was banded June 7, 2010. I have lost 119 pounds...I maintained weight during this past winter for 6 months...then decided to get one more slight fill in April...lost 9 lbs so far from fill. I am hoping to lose 11 more by June 21...as I am having plastics done on that day!! Don't see it happening, but that will be okay! I am very happy with my band and progress...now to get rid of my wrinkly skin!! lol Good luck to your last 25
  20. I am done 9...11 more to go until June 21. I also, don't think I will make my goal before plastics...but I am okay with that
  21. It almost sounds like you either took too large of a bite or ate something to fast...maybe?? Are you eating too much? Does it happen when you are drinking? Sometimes if my drinks are too big and fast i get pressure in my chest... hard to say, without a little bit more info...sorry
  22. Yay...road to recovery!! Congrats....my turn in 4 weeks...keep us posted!!
  23. You need to find a doctor that will do your fill under flouroscopy...(xray). That is the best way to determine if there is anything else wrong with your band too!! And this is the only way to get an accurate fill...not too tight not too loose!! The band works, it's just your doctor needs to help you out and be more supportive. Good luck to you
  24. Jess....I read all of your post and I sympathize with you. We all had WLS because we could not do it on our own!! Maybe you mentally were not ready for this life change....for me, I was ready!! I was sick of dieting and being fat...losing a few pounds and gaining it back. For me, this was the best thing I have ever done for myself! Besides the weight loss....what about your other co-morbidities....has any of those changed for the best?? I agree, i think you may need therapy...but most of all find yourself a support group!! They truly can help...You will hear all other stories probably worse than your own...you have overcome the worst part of the surgery...now you need to concentrate on utilizing your tool. I am able to eat all the foods you listed...but not as much! Now I eat 1 sometimes 2 slices of pizza instead of 4 or 5!! The band will help you....I did a lot of research on the band for about 2 years before I got it...I read all the negative and the positive and I got it stuck in my head that I WAS NOT GOING TO BE A FAILURE WITH THE BAND!! I was determined that this was going to work for me...and IT DID!! This forum is a great place to vent and find informative information. We are all here to help one another....I hope you can get the help you need to make your weightloss a success! I will be thinking of you....and please keep us posted!!
