It could be gas, but you should never ignore chest pain. Call your surgeon and go to the ER.

I'm on day 6 post op and I still have a pain in my chest. It isn't near as bad as it was but it almost feels like a stuck burp. It can get extremely annoying, but I'm pretty sure mine is still gas pain. If you have concerns I'd call your doctor just to make sure.

I had gas in between my shoulder blades...took about 4 days to go away but a week to stay gone..It felt like I did something to it, however it never, ever hurts to go get checked out...just to be safe...then you can treat the gas, and feel releived...

It is either gas still or you are drinking too much too fast. I used a medicine cup, 1 oz cup and I drank out of that for first week...little sips. When you eat too much or a large bite, that is exactly what being stuck feels like...pressure in your chest. You can try gas x to see if its the gas...but otherwise take smaller drinks and/or bites...and chew chew chew!! Hope this helps you all!

I changed my profile image to a molecule of protein. Why? Because I am certain that it saved my life.

Two years out. Lost 120 , regained 5 lbs. Recently has a bout of Norovirus, lost 7 pounds in two days. Now my stomach feels like it did right after my surgery. Sore, sensitive to even water.  Anyone out there have a similar experience?

      April Surgery
Am I the only struggling to get weight down. I started with weight of 297 and now im 280 but seem to not lose more weight. My nutrtionist told me not to worry about the pounds because I might still be losing inches. However, I do not really see much of a difference is this happen to any of you, if so any tips?
      Thanks

Well recovering from gallbladder removal was a lot like recovering from the modified duodenal switch surgery, twice in 4 months yay 🥳😭. I'm having to battle cravings for everything i shouldn't have, on top of trying to figure out what happens after i eat something. Sigh, let me fast forward a couple of months when everyday isn't a constant battle and i can function like a normal person again! 😞
