Have you checked out the social group June Bugs? We all were banded in June of this year and we all have had very very slow weight losses pre fill. You may want to check us out so you can see what others are experiencing at the same time as you.
-
Yippee Rosie Sue! I know from the Bugs you have had a few complications. But now hopefully your world will be a better place!
-
You will have done great! And what will power not to weigh everyday! I would like to invite you to join June Bugs, we all were banded in June and are finding we are going through the same things, and are encouraging each other through the journey. We would love to have you
-
Thank you for that wonderful thought. It went along with another thing I read about today so I know its true word from God!
-
The best of luck on all accounts. Do you have a website that shows off your work?
-
God is so good! Just look what can be done in one month! Congrats, and tell people about this so they know that the band does work!
-
Maggs, so glad to hear from you, I did figure you were majorily busy moving and your job. Yes, before your fill weight loss is non existent. (check out June Bugs in the next day or two, we miss you)
To bad you can't get House Hunters from HGTV to help you find a place!
When is your award ceremony?

She has been on Rachel Ray several times. Her food looks really good, and it reduces carbs, calories and the bad stuff

wow, several of us had our 1st fills today. It is a great feeling, isn't it. Congrats, and good luck for the next month, that scale will be your friend.

Oatmeal is a soft food, especially when milk is added. I checked on Lapband.com food dairy area. In fact it is around 11grams.
I am trying to get high protein foods in, instead of depending on protein shakes.
-
You are very lucky to see your therapist and other specialist beyond the pre op stuff. I am so happy to keep up with you through your blog, it helps a lot, doesn't it?
-
I would like you to join our group June Bugs, since you are being banded this month. You will be with a group going through the same journey at the exact time. Try us out
-
mercilessmarcy and emetyb01, why don't you join our social group "June Bugs". We have all found that weight loss right after surgery isn't happening. We are all ready to get our fills so we can see that scale go lower. Our group is great at letting you know that we are all going through this at the same time and if we see we are normal, then it eases our minds. Come join us!
-
Wow June is YOUR MONTH! 1st surgery, then your nomination of the award and now a promotion! Relish in this onset of blessings! We miss you at June Bugs, don't forget us
-
I actually found the recipes from a member of my social group June Bugs and looked at the Food/Nutrition thread on the forum

cdnjenn, welcome to blogging. It helps so much get your feelings out into words, and to an empathetic group! I was banded June 4, and I still have an incision that is draining just a tiny bit, but it is aggrevating.
I hope you find a clinic fast, because our fill is going to be our saving grace!
-
Nursesandy I know this is a bummer, but I do have to admit, I was thinking you were super woman! It seems we have all had a set back or two. But stay the course, our marathon has just begun!
-
asteenho, please share this blog with our June bugs, we are all at or near this stage and these comments from "veterens" will help us, it did me!
-
I am glad things went well, but I am glad they kept me out until they took the tube out! Just take it easy and you will do great.
-
I am glad you are doing so well. Let the June bugs know you have a blog, so we can keep up with each other better. I have one here also.
-
Sandy I totally know where your coming. I have not done too much, but I am going to go to a close shopping center (30 min drive) tomorrow to get more protein shake stuff and the dreaded Wal Mart, and I am a bit worried about the seat belt driving.
Direahea has hit me too, but I am only liquids so that is the only thing that can come out right?
I am glad to hear you are going to take more time out. As the Lap Band book says this is a time of healing, so take the time to heal
-
asteenho, fellow June Bug YES you will do well, because you do know this is the right thing for YOU. Just think of all the good that will come and the dread of the next few weeks will be a small pill to take
-
Sandy, good first blog! I am on clear liquids until
Monday night then full liquids for 2 weeks after that, and I am nausated just from that. But I know as iamalucky dog mentioned, this is the healing time, not the loosing time, so i am going to make it that way. BUT I am lucky being a teacher I have the summer to deal with this. How long are you taking off? Hang in there my new friend. We can do it
-
my surgeon says 6 days of high high protein and low low carbs, then the day before surgery clear liquids. Really enjoyed my last meal, shrimp scampi and salad
Second Runner Up!
