  1. Stress affects us all. First, as you did on your blog, focus on the positive -- your friend and groom's mother will be with you all in spirit. Second, you are doing so many great things for your daughter's beautiful wedding. Enjoy the time.

Finally, you are a constant source of inspiration and support to so many in your life. Give yourself 15 minutes of reflection and down time and it will help.

And like Im said -- figure out a serving, put it on a plate and look at it. Throw the rest of the bag DEEP in the garbage.

Best of luck to you in all this. God's Peace........

  2. I feel full after eating approximately 3/4 - 1C of food (mostly protein, some veggies or a little fruit). My first meal is around 8 am. I eat slowly and chew well and I start to feel "full" at that 3/4C mark. Lunch is around 12 and I have just started to get a little hungry. I eat 3/4 C of mostly protein here. I get a little hungry around 5 and eat 1/2 protein bar (driving). Around 7 I eat about 3/4 C of protein and veggies.

I really take care to get the protein in as I struggle with hair loss. I eat slow and steady and I don't get stuck or anything else very often. I am not hungry otherwise. I never snack or eat between meals anymore as I'm just not hungry for anything which is helping a lot. I used to move into the "high caloric intake" danger zone between October 15th and January 1st (holidays) so I'm excited about this year!

  3. Seems like the tube might have scratched your throat a little? A second possibility is you got a little flu in the hospital. I'd call. In the interim sugar free Popsicles if you can have those. Otherwise a lot of ice chips. Do you feel any issues otherwise? Temp? Feel better soon!

  4. Adorable, heartwarming post! Thank you! And although I want to hate you for the "struggling to keep weight on", I wish you only the best! I hope it works out for you! I love the inspiration you've provided - not only to your daughter but to all of us! Take care:::::

  5. But remember, we communicate on this site because we can share. I don't want to speak for anyone else, but I DO NOT REGRET this surgery at all! I've lost over 70 lbs since Christmas and I am a different person inside and out. I absolutely could not have done it without this fantastic tool and although there are days or minutes where there is some kind of challenge, it is nothing compared to where I was heading: diabetes, stroke, heart attack, apnea............

But Polly is right. You need to be at peace with this decision. Best of luck to you!

  6. A couple things:

    - check with your nutritionist. Even though you are getting 1300 cals a day you might still be "starving" your body based on the heavy duty workouts. My PA told me to get in a whole extra meal when I do more than 45 minutes of cardio a day. It helped IMMENSELY. The plateau "went away" within a couple days.

    - are you measuring yourself? maybe the scale and weight isn't the way to go for now -- focus on pants being bigger, easier to go up stairs.....

    - kick up the protein and lower the carbs?

    - water?

You have come a long way!! Try not to let it get you down! Hundreds of people on this site have lost a TON of weight; the tool works :-).

  7. Your story brings back memories. I was thinking about college, having a baby, going on Weight Watchers, phen-phen, Jenny Craig....

The journey for all of us on this site may be different by person, but where we are going: healthier and a sense of accomplishment and taking charge -- that we all share!

I loved your "ramblings". Keep it up! Hugs :::::::::

  8. Hi! I'm glad you had a nice vacation, and that things are going well for you in Minneapolis! I love seeing shows; Wicked is fantastic!! You will do great at St. Jude's -- you are helping families create memories and you are a wonderful photographer. Best wishes and take care......
