  1. I'm on day 22 and at a stall (my stall started about 10 days out) BUT if you read Maddie's post (link below) http://verticalsleevetalk.com/post-operation-vertical-sleeve-gastric-surgery-vsg-questions-answers/8349-stall-s.html THIS REALLY HELPED ME UNDERSTAND WHATS GOING ON IN YOUR BODY WHEN YOUR LOSING! HANG IN THERE IT WILL BREAK! Lots of people here went thru stalls and always say the scale will start to move again.. Good luck!
  2. Buttercup, I am at 3 weeks out. this is what I eat. dinner I may change it up a bit but not much. Protein shakes really help! Good luck! BKFST: string cheese: 60 cals, 1 carb, 8 protein Mid AM: GNC Amp protein shake: 2 scoops 140 cals, 4 carbs, 30 protein Mid AM: Soy light vanilla milk: 1/2 cup, 80 cals, 10 carbs, 6 protein Lunch: Tofu (1 slice): 30cals, 0 carbs, 8 protein Lunch: Oikos greek yogurt 1 tbsp. 8cals, 1carb, 1 protein another Protein Drink same as Mid AM w/ soy milk Dinner: 1/2 can canned chicken white meat, 60cals, 1carb, 13protein This will give you 558 cals, 24 carbs, 97 protein (I know it high but you can adjust the shakes if you want.) Now I dont know if this is exactly right for you as I am adjusting as well. Hope it helps tho.
  3. 1)Do you drink coffee? 2)If so, what do you put in it? 3)How much do you drink per day? I miss my coffee so much, but afraid if I drink it, the caffeine will harm me or increase my hunger?? is this true?
  4. I'm am experiencing the dreaded 3 week stall for 11 days now. UGH!~ SOooo frustrating! But went over and double checked my protein intake and seen I was lacking about 20 grams! (stupid me, miscounted my protein shakes and just counted on that figure for the last 11 days!) Now that I caught that, I am hoping this is going to break. Below is a link that Maddie wrote --great explaination for stalls- A MUST READ! http://verticalsleevetalk.com/post-operation-vertical-sleeve-gastric-surgery-vsg-questions-answers/8349-stall-s.html
  5. Tracy, has he done any DS surgeries? VSG is the first part of the DS, my Dr. doesnt have too many VSG but she had done like 2000 DS's and come highly recommended. Everything turned out great, I had 0 complications.

  8. What a great thread, I too am stalled Today is day 15 for me and I lost 21 pounds which is good, but I lost that the first 10 days! It seemed like the stall happened when I started to introduce mushies so not sure if its the different types of foods. I pretty much only eat protein, my meal plan: Breakfast I have a string cheese 9g, mid morning snack protein shake 30g, lunch (one of the following) 1/4 cottage cheese or greek yogurt, ground roasted chicken, or baby food turkey. I get my water in so I'm not sure whats happening, I understand its normal but I never thought it would happen so soon. Does anyone find anything wrong with my meal plan? I'll just hang in there, and hope for the best! Good luck everyone!!
  9. WOW! I can only hope to be where you are now! You are an inspiration to me~
  10. I'm 12 days out and had a simular thing happen to me. I am on pureed foods, ground chicken went down real good, then the next night I tried 1/4 cup of ground rib. 2 bites into it OMG it felt like someone took a belt and was tightening it as hard as they could then release, this went on for about 35 min!! Painful it was, but quit and felt better, I'm sure the food was too harsh and not ready for it.
