  1. WOW Donna T, Just seen you and I are almost exactly the same!! same surgery date, same wt loss!!
  2. I believe your in a stall too. Mix up your calories, try something like a low, medium and high calorie days. Make sure your doing what your NUT says and as said before in this site by Tiffkins, 'throw a monkey wrench' in your diet to confuse the body. Also something I do in stalls is take a stool softener, and usually breaks my stall!! I've had two stalls already!!
  3. that is funny! my NUT ok'd it...
  4. Welcome, and congrats!~
  5. I found a liquid calcium citrate called wellesse with D, walmart or walgreens carry it. about $7.00 http://www.wellesse.com/productdetail.asp?id=3
  6. I'm sure everyone is different but in my case it doesnt growl but makes noises, usually not load at all. If I havent eaten in awhile, I get a empty, lightheaded feeling-thats when I know its time to eat.
  7. this is a good subject because we tend to think if 60g protein is good, then 75 would be even better, not thinking that it may hurt us! please check with your NUT and let us know. thanks!~
  8. thanks guys, your input helped alot. I dont feel so lost now. your GRrrrreat!
  9. Hellooooo! Love this thread!! I'm IN!!!!
  10. WOW! Congrats!!! I cant wait til my ticker says 3 pounds to go Just think all your hard work paid off.
  11. What does your calorie, fat, carbs and protein look like in any given day???
  12. Stacy160, This was my first time ever talking with the NUT and I am really starting to believe like you! It comes down to you know your body best.
  13. ok we are all different! journal everything to make sure it's not water wt from the time of month etc. I just seen my NUT for my 6 week post op after showing her my print out from livestrong.com, she told me to increase my calories to 800-1000 and to start drinking 100% fruit 16-24 oz day for 3 days, "to get me out of ketosis! and that I should be eating at least 100 carbs daily" I barely can eat 500 Cals, and 23 carbs at this point, there is no way I told her. She said and this is quote "I need to work on stretching my pouch" OMG!! Ummm my quote and as nice as I could be "no thank you, that's what got me here!" My point, they have guidelines and will tell you to do what their text book tells you. DO WHAT WORKS FOR YOU, I KNOW I AM! GOOD LUCK!
  14. MAGUI, I THINK MISUNDERSTOOD ME! DONT REDUCE YOUR Protein, I WASNT LOSING BECAUSE MY PROTEIN LEVEL WAS 40-50 IT WAS MY MISTAKE WHEN I READ THE LABEL ON MY PROTEIN SUP. WHEN I INCREASED MY PROTEIN 80+, I STARTED TO LOOSE AGAIN!! IF YOU REDUCE YOUR PROTEIN TO 40-50 YOU WONT LOSE!!
  15. WoW thats great!! Good joB~~~!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  16. check out the V8 soups, its by the stock (rectangle boxes) at walmart. its all pureed and tastes pretty good!
  17. PamelaAM, Sorry to hear about your blood pressure. I do know that sodium increases your blood pressure, so along with the ice cream, add extra salt with your foods. Good luck! And OMG 21 lbs in less than 2 weeks!! GREAT JOB!!!!!!
  18. ( Magui, This happened to me up til day 10 lost 21 pounds, then nothing....nothing...nothing.... for 11 days- then I absolutely made sure I was getting in 60-70 Protein sometimes more (there were some days I was taking in 40 gr protein), and making sure I got my liquid intake 64oz. Then couple days later I started losing again. I would suggest go over all you eat, re-read the nut values on pkgs. Make sure your getting your protein & Water, and just wait it out, your body is adjusting...
  19. UGH I HATE THIS FEELING!! this is exactly what I experience, you just have to measure your food. (I was taught to always clear my plate and I can see what aweful thing that was!) I always measure and my sleeve may be okay with that but other times its just too much. I am working on 1 TBSP less than 1/4 cup for each meal 3x day. Good luck!!
  20. woo hoo thegeek!! think my 10 day stall just BROKE!!! ugh seemed like forever, without this wonderful site, I'd went out of my mind. thanks everyone!
  21. How much fat do you take in? How much is too little or too much for a day?? I'm 23 days post op -Currently I'm taking in 500-600 cals and about 80-90 protein, with 10 (or under) fat. Whatcha think? I know my protein if high do you think its too much? Can you have too much protein? Thanks for you help!
  22. Day one for me too infact-nurse sent me home with a couple bottles of crystal light! I really dont think theres any worries at 9 days post op.
